Christmas in July – Day 7

Hello everyone!

Christmas in July Day 7 (Day 23 of the colouring challenge) and I’m finally caught up! Today’s card uses another older stamp, Christmas Ornaments Trio by Magenta Art Stamps.

Once again I used my trusty Twinkling H2Os, coupled with a Nuco Aqua shimmer pen for that white section of the ornament on the left. I just love all that shimmer!

I added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted to complete my very simple card!

I’m entering this card into the ABC Christmas Challenge where the theme is ‘N is for No peeking, O is for Ornament’.

Christmas in July – Day 6

Hi there!

It’s time for a new challenge at AAA Cards! The theme for this fortnight is ‘maxi white space’ with the optional twist of Christmas in July. Our sponsor is The Ink Road

If you’ve visited my blog this week, you’ll know that I’m doing ‘Christmas in July’ this month, so the optional twist was perfect for me!

I’m currently playing catch up and therefore this is my card for Day 6 of my Christmas in July and Day 22 of the colouring challenge. I embossed a cute little image from Impression Obsession and then coloured it using my Twinkling H2O paints. I then added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted to finish off my card.

My team mates have come up with some beautiful cards which are on the AAA Cards challenge blog. We are also joined by the talented Shona from Twine Around – she has some fabulous cards on her blog, so please do check them out too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July – Day 5

Hello everyone!

I’m still playing catch up with my cards and here’s the card for Christmas in July Day 5 (Day 21 of the colouring challenge). I inked up the fabulous Christmas Color stamp from Penny Black and coloured it with my Twinkling H2Os. I seriously can’t remember the last time I used this stamp!

I used the rather festive colour palette over at the Color Throwdown (red, green, black and white) and the sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

The paper is by Fancy Pants and the small sentiment is from a Penny Black clear set.

Christmas in July – Day 4

Happy Saturday everyone!

Here’s my card for Christmas in July Day 4 (Day 20 of the colouring challenge) using another older Hero Arts stamp, Whimsical Snow People! Can we just take a moment to look at that snowbaby?! Isn’t he the cutest?!

I decided to play along with the current Case This Sketch challenge and while I was looking through my patterned paper, I found some paper that actually replicated some of the layers in the sketch – even the sentiment strip was in the right place! Isn’t that amazing!

Christmas in July – Day 3

Hello everyone!

Here’s my card for Christmas in July Day 3 (Day 19 of the colouring challenge) using one of my very first Penny Black stamps! Isn’t that deer the cutest?!

I coloured him with my Twinkling H2Os this week and then created the background using a Uniko stencil with some distress ink covered with glitter paste.

Christmas in July – Day 2

Hello everyone!

Christmas in July Day 2 (Day 18 of the colouring challenge) and today I inked up another older Stampendous stamp, Chickadee!

I coloured it using the fab, non-festive palette over at CAS Colours & Sketches this week, although I did have to use a drop of yellow for his beak!!

I added a sentiment from Penny Black complete my very simple card!
