Impression Obsession

Christmas in July 2026 – Day 25

Hi there!

It’s Day 25 of LucieG’s Christmas in July!

Today’s card is actually made with a couple of rejects from other cards I started to make earlier this month!

I’ve had this sweet Kaisercraft Christmas Pine die for AGES – I can’t even remember when I bought it, which is extremely unusual for me! Anyway, I actually made this tree on Day 1 but ended up going with another die cut on that day. The background frame is Impression Obsession’s Geometric Cutout 2 die which I have had in my festive wreath collection for as long as I had it! Well yesterday I decided to use it as my focal point but decided it was too big for what I wanted…. then I realised the die cut would work well as a background! So that’s what I did today!

The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps set called Simple Sentiment Strips Holidays.

Egg Week 2025 Day 3

Hi there!

It’s Day 3 of LucieG’s Egg Week 2025! Today I decided to CASE a card I made back in February which coincidentally turned out to be my card for Day 3 of Heart Week 2025.

I used the same Impression Obsession heart die but this time I covered it with little eggs that I cut from Craft Consortium paper using a Marianne Designs mini die set.

I wish I could say this card was a quick make but alas I kept playing around with the order of the little eggs so it took far more time than expected!

The sentiment is from a set by Sugar Pea Designs.

I’m entering this into the CAS on Friday challenge where the theme is ‘Easter’.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 9

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

Day 9’s challenge is another colour combo – cinnamon, charcoal grey and birch white. What a fun combo!

I used an Impression Obsession reindeer die plus a Reverse Confetti background die for my take.

Christmas in July 2024 – Day 10

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Day 10 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2024 and it’s time for a reindeer!

For today’s card, I paired a glittery Impression Obsession reindeer with an older October Afternoon snowflake stamp. I had originally intended to use the reindeer with a die-cut snowflake frame but then I thought of  stamping some background snowflakes. I found the stamp I had in mind immediately (and we all know that RARELY happens!) and got crafty!

I heat embossed it and then blended Salvaged Patina and Shaded Lilac distress inks. I adhered a few layers of brown card to the reindeer’s body to add depth to the image. I realised that I would be able to arrange the antlers if I just had that one layer of glitter card so I didn’t adhere card layers behind them – quite a relief really as they look quite intricate don’t they?!

The sentiment is by The Ton.

Christmas in July 2023 – Day 11

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Day 11 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2023!

Today I’m playing along with a new-to-me challenge called Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge. One image in the inspiration collage, the blue cone wreath, took my breath away and I was totally inspired!

While I have a LOT of pine cone dies, I decided to create a wreath of blue pine sprigs using panels created with three distress inks/oxides and an Impression Obsession die set! Once I assembled the wreath, I added a Penny Black bow and a sentiment by My Favorite Things.

Tremaine Square centrepiece

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

It’s another fabulous sketch this week, and I had originally planned to use a different shape for the focal point. But then when I was going through my dies for another card, I spotted this beautiful Tremaine Square die from Memory Box and changed my plan for this card! I adhered it to a piece of kraft cardstock and added a few gems. I cut a couple of Impression Obsession butterflies from an old inky panel and added some detail using a coloured pencil. I also added a little butterfly by Simon Says Stamp because I like the rule of three!

To complete my card, I added a sentiment from an old Hero Arts set,
