Technique – ink blending

Featuring ink blending

Sending Sunshine

Hello everyone!

The theme for this week’s Less is More challenge is ‘spots and stripes’ and it’s time for the dreaded one-layer card!

Actually, I quite enjoy making one-layer cards…. but this time it was VERY DIFFICULT not to add some sequins!

I used a fishtail die to create a mask and then did some ink blending and stencilling to create the image. I added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp to finish it off!

Love and Thanks

Hello there!

I decided to try out the plastic bag watercolour technique that Kristina Werner taught us at Simon Says Create last month. So much fun… I may have gone overboard with the sequins?!! The stamps and dies are by My Favorite Things and I’m entering this into the current MFT sketch challenge.

Oh Happy Day!

Hi everyone! I love the inspiration photo for the current Time Out Challenge and here is my take!

I used distress ink to create a blended ink background and then applied lots of distress mica spray for shimmer! I then used this and some Bazzill bling cardstock to do inlaid die-cutting with a fabulous butterfly die from Spellbinders.

I added a sentiment stamp from Simon Says Stamp and so I’m also entering this into the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge – sparkle and shine.

Thanks for stopping by!
