Hi Everyone!

The colours for this week’s Colour Throwdown challenge are kraft, yellow, grey and aqua so I decided to emboss a fabulous Simon Says Stamp background stamp and then do some ink blending/emboss resist.

The word die is from Neat & Tangled.

Hi! It’s time for a new #aaacardchallenge and this fortnight’s theme is ‘perfect day’. I found this very difficult, but in the end I chose a wedding card- after all, everyone wants a bride and groom to have their perfect wedding day, don’t they?! I used a stamp from @magentastyle which I coloured with my #twinklingh2o paints. To add a bit of interest to the base card, I used an @averyellestamps die and inlaid some glitter card. I’m playing along with @colorthrowdown challenge - another fabulous combo this week (yellow, green, aqua and white). I used dies from @poppystamps and a @clearlybesotted sentiment and also did some controlled ink smooshing on the card base.... which warped dreadfully 😱. Hi everyone! I’ve been practicing with my #prismacolorpencils today! Really love them.... it may be time to invest in a bigger set soon! I used the beautiful tulip heart stamp from the Easter @simonsaysstamp set. Yep, I bought the whole set for just one stamp... not the first time... and please tell me I’m not alone in doing that 😉 I wanted to play along with the current @freshlymadesketches challenge so used that sketch with a sentiment from an older SSS set and some new to me paper from @tonicstudios. Oh my! It’s gorgeous and cuts so well with a craft knife! I’m very impressed with it! Hi everyone! I had a little play with my background stamps this weekend and turned this one into another birthday card for my depleted stock! The stamp and dies are from @simonsaysstamp and I used watered #distressmarker to colour the background. I originally started to add colour by smooshing the ink, but wanted a bit more control.... so used a brush.. and a finger 😂 #simonsaysstamp #simonsaysstampdies #handmadecards

Hi friends! So, the other day I saw a beautiful card by @jojosspot using the @iostamps hollyhocks die and I knew it was time for me to get it. I’d been coveting it for over a year. And surprise surprise, I couldn’t find it anywhere online 😐 Yesterday I went to a craft show and was looking through a rack when I FOUND IT! Funny thing was that I had completely forgotten about it! Happy Saturday! So it should come as no surprise that I LOVE background dies! The new @altenewllc doodled dots cover die is no exception! I manage to snag one during @diestodiefor discount weekend - thanks for the fast shipping Tracy! It’s such a beautiful die and I’m looking forward to using it with an ink blended background, but first I wanted to play along with this week’s @colorthrowdown challenge (pint, red, mint)! I've been itching to ink up my new @heroarts background stamp and new-to-me lion set. I was so impressed with how easy it was to line up the lion stamps - sometimes it can take me quite a while to get a decent image as I often misalign at least one stamp - not the case with the lion set. This was my first attempt and I just love how he turned out. Now that I've assembled it, the card and background together kind of reminds me of a lion version of the #boccadellaverita, don't you think?! We launched a new #aaacardschallenge yesterday and this fortnight’s theme is ‘favourite technique’. I know, how do you choose?? 🤔 There are so many wonderful techniques! Hi everyone! I pulled out one of my old wood mounted stamps for this card... I love them and have so many, but they aren’t as easy to use as clear stamps with a stamp positioner, are they?! Anyway, I think I’m going to challenge myself to use at least one a week! When was the last time you used wood mounted stamps? Back to the card... after embossing the egg, I coloured it with my #twinklingh2o paints. I attached it to an ink-blended strip that I embossed with a @carabellestudio folder.
