Day 7 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 7 was Uniko – they have some fabulous stamps and stencils and the inspiration tags were fabulous! I loved Lindsey L’s stencilled inspiration and used the same stencil, with a smaller colour palette for my tag.

Day 6 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 6 was Stamplorations. The inspiration tags were amazing and I was particularly drawn to the tag created by Shery Russ.

I don’t have many of their products, so I used an Impression Obsession tree die, Echo Park stencil and a Simon Says Stamp sentiment.

Day 5 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 5 was Ellen Hutson. I haven’t bought much from Ellen H in recent years, but when I saw the inspiration by Lindsey L I knew I had to pull out the Home & Hearth die set for my tag! I created my own stencil from post it notes to recreate the snow/paths and added a Neat & Tangled sentiment that I got in a set about 5 years ago!

AAA Cards One Corner challenge with cosy twist

Hi there!

It’s time for another challenge at AAA Cards!  This fortnight we’d like you to create a CAS card using one corner of your card base only; our sponsor is Stamplorations. Our optional twist for this challenge is ‘cosy’!

I decided to use one of my vast collection of Newton Nook stamps for this card – there are a couple of sets that would work really well, but I love this image of Newton in the laundry basket – he looks so cosy, I knew it would be perfect for the challenge. I used a stencil by Newton’s Nook to ground my image which I coloured with my Twinkling H2O paints and fussy cut. The sentiment is also by.. yep, Newton’s Nook!

My team mates have come up with some beautiful cards which are on the AAA Cards challenge blog. We are also joined a previous challenge winner, and one of my favourite cardmakers, Angie – go check out her blog, it’s so inspiring!!

Hope you can play along with us!

Water Jug bouquet

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown! The palette this week is grey, green. kraft and white – perfect for nature-based cards!

To start, smooshed a little Moss distress ink to the bottom of my card base and then applied texture paste using a stencil by My Favorite Things. While that was drying, I got die cutting with a brand new-to-me Marianne Designs Water Jug die set – seriously, it only landed on my doormat on Friday morning! Love it when I use my new goodies straight away!

Eucalyptus Wreath

Happy Sunday everyone!

I seriously can’t believe we are in September! Autumn is in the air and having spent A LOT of the past month tending to my continually-growing garden, I am looking forward to spending less time on garden projects and more time on craft projects, hopefully!

I haven’t made many cards since Christmas in July when I made a card a day! So, I’m diving back in with one of my favourite challenges, the Color Throwdown! The palette this week is blue, purple and green and as I love the colours in their inspiration photo, I tried to replicate them for my take!

I was inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Etched Eucalyptus Wreath die from their Stamptember release. Being in the UK, it will be a LONG time before I can get my hands on Stamptember goodies this year unfortunately as the postal carrier has changed, so I’m using Stamptember inspiration with my current supplies instead. I created a wreath using coloured cardstock and the SSS Eucalyptus Leaves die, which I think may have been a Stamptember 2019 release? I stencilled some Cosmic Shimmer glitter paste to add some interest to the background before creating a wreath from the die cut leaves. To complete my take, I added a sentiment, also by SSS.
