AAA Cards sketch challenge with primary colours twist

Hi there!

It’s time for another challenge at AAA Cards!  This fortnight we’d like you to create a CAS card using the sketch below and if you want to join with our optional twist, please use primary colours only! Our sponsor is Funky Fossil Designs.

For the main image, I used a much loved and rather old cling stamp by Unity Stamp Co. When I bought this, the Misti hadn’t been created and I found it quite difficult to get decent ink coverage using just a clear block! The Misti has made stamping so much easier! The die that I used to create the vertical stripe is by Concord & 9th.

My team mates have come up with some beautiful cards which are on the AAA Cards challenge blog. We are also joined a previous challenge winner, Granne, who has some lovely cards on her blog – go check it out!!

Hope you can play along with us!

Day 4 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi there!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year.

The sponsor for Day 4 was Newton’s Nook. I love Newton so I had a lot of choice when it came to choosing supplies for this tag! I loved the inspiration tags and decided to use one created by Kim for my inspiration.

Day 1 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

Last year, I played along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags for the third year in a row. I was pretty busy with work and travel so didn’t manage to create 26 tags, but I made 20 which was still enough for my 2019 gifts!

I’m so happy to see the event is back again this year! Once again, each day has a sponsor and I am going to try to use products from each sponsor wherever I can.

Sunny Studio was the sponsor for Day 1. I really like their layering stamps and once their Christmas layering stamps are back in stock at my UK retailer, I’m going to buy them!

For my first tag, I decided to use Cheryl Nutti‘s inspiration. The stamps I used are by Sunny Studio and by Hero Arts.

Ghost Hugs

Happy Halloween everyone!

Here’s a quick card I made with the My Favorite Things Fab-boo-lous Friends stamp set and a wonderful background die by Winnie & Walter. I’ve been very drawn to cards with bright pink backgrounds recently so I HAD to do one of my own!

Monster Boo!

Hi there!

It’s been a while since I played along with a Case This Sketch challenge and so I decided to hop back into the challenge this week!

I used the brand new Whittle Monsters by Poppystamps. You see that little green monster? He is the whole reason I bought this die set! The set contains a cat as well, but I felt a ghost would be better in my scene here so I added one from my Whittle Ghost set. I created the background using distress oxide inks and a Hero Arts background stamp spritzed with water and the wooded frame is by Memory Box.

Merry Everything baubles

Hi there!

Happy Saturday from a wet and windy London! Today I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge .

When I saw the sketch, I thought of so many possibilities for those five columns! In the end I opted for a festive theme, but I really must remember to use this sketch again one day and put those other ideas to use!

I used three baubles from a wonderful Simply Graphic retro ornament set that I got a few years ago. I decided to use some of my 6×6 patterned paper mountain – the wood planks background is by My Mind’s Eye and I think the other papers are by Basic Grey. Once I die cut the ornaments I ‘strung’ them with an older Memory Box die and then added a sentiment by My Favorite Things to complete my take on the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by!
