Technique – heat embossing

Featuring heat embossing

You rock!

Hi everyone!

The current AAA Cards challenge is embossing – could be dry embossing, heat embossing or both! I chose to do both!

I covered a Cuttlebug embossing folder with ink to create the embossed white star background which I then cut using a start Lawn Fawn die. I then covered the stars with some Nuvo Aqua Glimmer Gloss for a bit of shimmer.

I added a sentiment from Krumspring stamps which I had heat embossed using sliver embossing powder.

Thanks for looking!

Leave a little sparkle!

Happy Friday!

So, a little story to begin – Wow! Embossing company was a sponsor at Simon Says Create last week and I was so disappointed to miss out on their fabulous, glittery Create It, Take It card. Instead, I bought the stamps and decided I’d make my own version when I got home!

I used a super simple paper technique from Jennifer McGuire instead of loose glitter – far less messy! Papers are by Die Cuts with a View and all dies are by Simon Says Stamp.

I used the colours from this week’s Color Throwdown challenge and will also enter this into the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge (anything goes).

Thanks for stopping by!

My World

Hi everyone!

The theme for this month’s Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge is ‘one layer card’ and here’s my entry. All stamps are by Concord & 9th. I used several shades of disctress ink to add depth to the map and then embossed it. I stamped the sentiment using the gold Delicata ink – love that shimmer!

How does your garden grow?

Hi There!

The theme for this week’s Casology challenge is ‘grow’ and I immediately thought of this older silhouette stamp from Hero Arts! I paired it with an Essentials by Ellen sentiment and mounted it on panel which I embossed using a fabulous new folder from Spellbinders.

I’m also entering this into the current Blog Named Hero challenge (anything goes).

Celebrate

Hi there!

I’m taking a break from my Easter crafting and pulled out an older background stamp by Penny Black together with dies from my Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn for this card.

I’m entering it into the current Casology challenge (text) and the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
