Technique – die cutting

Featuring die cutting

Christmas in July 2025 – Day 15

Hi there!

It’s Day 15 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2025!

Today’s trees are courtesy of Stampin’ Up’s Decorative Tree set which I got last year. You do not want to know how many iterations I went through before settling on this card. I tried so many colours for the stamped trees and turned to my silver ink in desperation – it was a great relief when I liked the effect!

The oval frame was created using a couple of Pinkfresh dies and the sentiment id by Clearly Besotted.

Christmas in July 2025 – Day 14

Hi there!

It’s Day 14 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2025!

The star of today’s card is the Memory Box Frostyville Wreath from 2012!

I’ve often struggled with card designs for this wreath and I’ve tended to use it as a frame for a festive image. This time, I paired it with a MUCH newer Simon Says Stamp bow and a Pinkfresh Studio sentiment.

The background is a Spellbinders folder.

Christmas in July 2025 – Day 13

Hi there!

It’s Day 13 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2025!

Today I’m celebrating Spellbinders bottlebrush trees! I used the second set of trees that were included in the fabulous Spellbinders/Simon Hurley Whimsical Bottlebrush trees set that I used earlier this month plus dies from the Sealed Christmas Tree Squiggle and Santa’s Workshop sets.

The background is my favourite Sizzix tree folder and the sentiment is by Mama Elephant.

Not a traditional colour combo today – I wanted to used Speckled Egg on my background and used a fabulous colour inspiration book that my parents got me a few years ago – I could never have thought of this combo myself!

Christmas in July 2025 – Day 12

Hi there!

It’s Day 12 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2025!

Well it’s been one of the hottest days of the year and somehow I ended up spending the whole day in my kitchen doing my batch cooking! I didn’t get too hot fortunately but it did leave me with very little time for today’s card.

I pulled out the old Sim0n Says Stamp Mod Ornament from 2015 and paired with with a much newer Tim Holtz/Sizzix embossing folder for a very quick CAS card.

The sentiment is from a Mama Elephant set.

Christmas in July 2025 – Day 11

Happy Festive Friday!

It’s Day 11 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2025!

Today I used the Simon Says Stamp Sprinkle Snowglobe embossing folder and some Pinkfresh Waterfall ink to create a snowglobe background.

The tree image is an older Memory Box die called Tall Pine and it’s from 2017 but I think I bought it far more recently than that.

I wasn’t sure where to put the sentiment so in the end I decided it didn’t need one!

Christmas in July 2025 – Day 10

Hi there!

It’s Day 10 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2025!

Today’s card is not what I had originally planned at all… but my original idea wasn’t working so rather than spend ALL evening on it, I pivoted and did something completely different!

To be honest, I’ve been searching for a way to include that amazing frame from my Spellbinders/Lisa Horton Nested Tree Frames set for a while and when I decided to use the sweet Poppystamps Rudolph Collage die again, I found a way to use it!

The sentiment and bow are by Simon Says Stamp.
