Today, I used a lovely little tree from a Simply Graphic die set. I took a while deciding how to showcase it because it’s so small and delicate! In the end, I chose a small die from another Simply Graphic set and added a small Altenew sentiment.

It’s Day 4 of LucieG’s Christmas in July and today I’ve taken inspiration from a fabulous Simon Says Stamp snowflake embossing folder.
I don’t have the folder (yet) but decided to recreate the effect using a huge delicate snowflake by Spellbinders and a couple of layers of white card.
I adhered the snowflake to white card and added a Mama Elephant sentiment. This card is mailable but I still decided to add some small pearls – already breaking my own rule about using bling on Royal Mail cards!!! I may add some thin card on top to protect it when the time comes to mail it!

Happy Festive Friyay!
It’s Day 3 of LucieG’s Christmas in July and today I’m playing with a cute little tree die that is just perfect for my CAS cards! I haven’t used this spellbinders die set as much as I’d like – it’s so versatile!
I’m happy to report that once again I used some of my 12×12 paper mountain! I cut a lot of it into 6×6 sheets which makes it much easier to grab and use for die cutting.

It’s that time of year – LucieG’s Christmas in July!
I haven’t crafted much over the past few months, although I have spent time in my craftroom as I’ve been reorganising it. I touched stamps and dies that hadn’t see the light of day in years! Anyway, I feel the least prepared for Christmas in July this year and I’m also out of practice, but I’m sure I will soon get back into the swing of things… I hope so anyway!
I’ve dedicated July to Christmas cardmaking since 2019 and had always felt that I reaped the benefits in November/December when life always seems to get super busy! Once again, I’m doing this series for the pure joy of creating Christmas cards as I rarely take part in challenges nowadays. I also need to make sure I have a good selection of ‘mailable’ cards – which means few layers and no gems because the Royal Mail’s machines just tear those off!
You’ll also see that I’ve added a new ‘handmade’ flag on my photos. I’m seeing a lot of AI creations (and text) in my social media feeds nowadays and what was once a moment of shared connection is starting to feel fake. I wish more creators would take add something like this so I know what designs have heart and soul behind them!
First up, for Christmas in July Day 1, I’m using a an old favourite Bottlebrush Tree by Savvy Stamps. I think this may have started my obsession with bottlebrush tree dies!
I’ll definitely be sending this one out in the mail!

Hi everyone!
Today I decided to pull out the beautiful Golden Poppies stencil/die combo again. This time, I chose non-traditional blue and purple inks. I just LOVE those little butterflies!
I created two separate panels of poppies, foliage and butterflies and ended up using nearly every single image on my very non-CAS card today. I used my older Ornate Oval Frame die to anchor the images and a sentiment from the Fluttering Butterflies set.
I’m entering this into the current Pinkfresh Studio monthly challenge which has a standing theme of ‘Anything Goes’ – I didn’t create with this month’s theme of ‘Ombre Obsession’.

Hi everyone!
Well after six years, Covid finally got me at Easter. And it was brutal! It seemed to drag on FOREVER. But I’m gradually getting back to being me, which is such a relief, I hated being so stuck and unproductive.
One bright spot over the past few weeks has been waiting for the new Pinkfresh Studio release. As soon as I saw the Whispering Daffodils product suite, I had to have it! Many thanks to Dies to Die For for getting my order out so quickly!
Funny story, when I looked at the stencils online, I got excited thinking that the set included some butterflies. Then I realised that the stencil was for the daffodil petals! However, I decided to try my butterfly idea out on the background of my card! I was a little nervous drawing those butterfly bodies, but I think they work? Lots of stickles on this card – hopefully you can see all the sparkle on my second photo!
