Floral Bouquet Heart

Hi there!

I hereby declare this week Heart Week! I have so many neglected heart dies and stamps that I want to use so I’m going to try to create a card with a heart or two every day this week… we’ll see how that goes!

In the meantime, first up is my entry for the Color Throwdown challenge which has a fun palette of green, blue and kraft.

I used the beautiful Memory Box Floral Heart Bouquet die which I coloured with alcohol makers and coloured pencils. I added some foam tape to the top centre of the heart so that it has a little bit of dimension.

I added heart trim to the card base using a Sugar Pea Designs border die and a sentiment from a Spellbinders set.

To complete my card I added a few pearls.

Record Birthday Card

Hello everyone!

Today I’m inadvertently playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge !

I started off by making a card for my brother using the Sugar Pea Designs Greatest Hits stamp and die set – but it was only when I was arranging the die cut records and CDs on my card base that I realised that this week’s sketch would provide the perfect layout!

Christmas in July 2022 – Day 17

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Day 17 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2022! Today I’m playing along with this month’s CAS Christmas card challenge where the theme is ‘Santa’.

Originally I wasn’t going to play along with this challenge because I don’t really have any Santa supplies… Then I remembered my Santa’s Snowy Hills die from Picket Fence Studios so got crafty! I used a section of the die and cut that die cut with a circle die. I added a little Victorian Velvet distress ink to my card base and adhered the card.

I added a few stars and a Mama Elephant sentiment to complete my take.

New Home Heart

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along with clean and simple challenge at The Paper Players where the theme is ‘house’.

I started by embossing a heart to my card base using a die from the Pinpoint Hearts set by Poppystamps. I then cut a section of the Sugar Pea Designs Homescape die, adhered it to a strip of glitter card and added it to the card base.

Finally I stamped a Taylored Expressions sentiment.

Playful Petals

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I’m playing along with this week’s Color Throwdown challenge  which has a fabulous combo of navy, blue, green and orange) as well as the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

For my card, I used uneven square dies from Marianne Design plus the beautiful Playful Petals Bundle die from Memory Box. The sentiment is from my go-to set my Sugar Pea Designs.

Butterfly cookie inspiration

Happy Friyay friends!

Today I’m using some brand new Birch Press Design dies that landed on my door mat yesterday. Look at that beautiful Eloquent Butterfly layering die! Isn’t it fabulous? I already have a layering butterfly die but I couldn’t resist adding another one to my collection!

I used the inspiration photo from the June If you give a crafter a cookie challenge. I loved the colour combo and designs! I paired the butterfly with a stem from the beautiful Sugar Pea Designs Botanical Branches die set

The background is also by Birch Press Deisgn – the Pinpoint Radial Plate.
