Love you always

Hi Everyone!

Happy Saturday! Today I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge!

It’s another sketch that reminds me of the London Underground but I decided to use the old Simon Says Stamp Scribble Heart and Arrow die set instead of a circle. When I saw the die set in my collection, I thought it was probably 8+ years old, but it turns out it was made in 2015, so not THAT old. I guess with ‘fast craft’, some things feel a lot older as they disappear quickly.

Anyway, I cut the heart from an ink blended panel and extended the arrow so it ran the width of my card. I stencilled some glitter paste on the card base before adding the die cuts and finally added a Mama Elephant card to complete my take.

Inlaid Hello Card

Hi Everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge!

I pulled out the Hello with a Bouquet of Flowers die from Pinkfresh Studio and a couple of old backgrounds that I created with some distress oxide inks and colour bursts. I cut the panels and got to work inlaying all those little die cut bits. It took me a while but I like how it turned out in the end.

The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp.

Pink and purple Easter

Hi Everyone!

I’ve taken a little break from challenged but when I saw the colour combo for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge and the sketch for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge I suddenly decided to play along at the last minute!

Lots of stencilling today – I created the egg using an Echo Park Paper Company stencil and a Memory Box egg die. Then, I used some embellishment mousse with a Colorbox stencil to create the textured background. The sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp.

Sending love to Australia

My heart is broken by the suffering and devastation in Australia.

I have been fortunate to visit downunder quite a few times and have some of my fondest travel memories from my time there… spotting wild koala, worrying about crazy kangaroos and just being struck by the majesty of nature there.

On my first trip, my friends and I stumbled upon the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and we loved learning about the work they were doing to nurse some very poorly koalas back to health.

Their recent work with poor burnt koalas is absolutely amazing and I’m so pleased to see that the donations they have received will enable them to set up the world’s first wild koala breeding programme.

This card is for the team there and all the heroes working so tirelessly downunder.

I used the sketch from the current Case This Sketch challenge and the koala die is from Simon Says Stamp.

Thank for stopping by!
