Sparkly Hydrangea

Hi everyone!

It’s been a while since I played with my Winnie & Walter stamps and as my hydrangea is just starting to bloom, I chose the gorgeous hydrangea stamp from their Addie’s Garden set. I embossed the flower and leaves with silver embossing powder from Hero Arts and then coloured them using my Twinkling H20’s. I fussy cut the images and then stuck them to my bas card using differing depths of foam tape.

I added an older sentiment from Hero Arts, some stickles and a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins to finish it off.

I’m entering this card into the current challenges hosted by  A Blog Named Hero (Florals/Winnie & Walter) and The Flower Challenge (Embossing Heat/Dry).

Orange Gerbera

Happy Friyay!

I was fortunate to win a Uniko set of stamps through the Less is More challenge blog last month and I chose the Gerbera set. They’re my first Uniko stamps and I was so surprised by the size of the set when it arrived – so much bigger than I was expecting! The images are great for colouring and I chose one for my entry for this week’s Freshly Made sketches challenge. I embossed the image and then coloured it with my Twinkling H2Os. I added some paper from My Mind’s Eye and a sentiment from Hero Arts plus a few enamel dots to finish it off!

Let your beauty run wild

Hi everyone!

When I saw the colours for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge, I immediately thought of my gorgeous Hero Arts layering Bengal tigers stamps and ended up making quite a bold card using the challenge colours (dark red, blue, golden yellow and white). I used a Hero Arts stencil for the background and fussy cut the tiger as I don’t have the coordinating dies. I used the sentiment stamp from the set but masked off the ‘wild’ and replaced it with a Reverse Confetti die cut word instead. Oh and I couldn’t resist adding a few sequins to finish it off!

Falling Circles

Hi Everyone!

There’s a fabulous new sketch over at Case This Sketch – and for my entry, I brought out my gorgeous Cosmic Shimmer gilding flakes again!

I used a stamp from Neat & Tangled for the main image and applied Ranger sticky embossing powder before adding the gilding flakes. They got EVERYWHERE, but were soon gone, thanks to my trusty Swiffer cloth!

Anyway, I added a frame using a die from My Favorite Stamps and finished off the card with an embossed older sentiment from Hero Arts.

Belated Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone

For today’s quick card, I used a gorgeous die from Simon Says Stamp which I cut twice – once in glitter paper and once in vellum.

I offset the glitter die cut to expose just a thin shadow of vellum. I added some Hero Arts Metallic Décor and a sentiment from Clearly Besotted to complete the card.

I’m entering this in the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge – ‘birthday bash’.

Gorgeous dresses

Hi there

I used one of my oldest Hero Arts stamps today together with some gold embossing powder and also my new golden peach embossing powder from Altenew – it is fabulous! I fussy cut the images and them mounted them on a distress ink background. I added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted to finish off my card.

I’m entering this card into three challenges – Retro Rubber challenge (anything goes), Casology challenge (clothes) and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge (emboss it).

The dress stamp is one of the oldest in my collection. It doesn’t have a date on it but I think it is at least 8 years old.
