Easter Bunny in Foliage

Happy Saturday!

Today I’m playing along in the Color Throwdown challenge which has a palette of sage green, purple and cream.

After overthinking my card for this challenge last week, I found this one MUCH easier! Flora and Faura shared their cute bunny die on Instagram earlier this week and I knew that I just had to use him again so that was my starting point! I paired him with a Poppystamps egg frame, Altenew foliage and a few Spellbinders flowers coloured with distress inks! Plus a sentiment from Taylored Expressions! Lots of different brands here! It was so much fun to make!

White Stems

Hi there!

I must confess when I saw the sketch at this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge, I was a little stumped. I’m predominantly a CAS cardmaker and thought I may have to get inky and create a busier card.

However, by the time I got round to creating with the sketch, I thought I’d try to create more of a CAS card. Using four distress oxide inks, I stamped a brushstroke stamp from the Flora and Fauna Texture set and then adhered four Simply Graphic die cuts on top. I added a Tonic Studio sentiment and a few sequins to complete my card.

The Double challenge

Hi everyone!

For my second card of the day, I’m playing along with the ‘double’ challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. This challenge combines colours AND a sketch… and can be quite tricky… but hey, that’s why they are called challenges, isn’t it?

For my card, I used the beautiful Cherry Blossom Wreath by Memory Box, together with a sentiment from the Ton and a stencil by Funky Fossil Designs.

Bunny basket

Hi everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.

Of course, I’m still making Easter cards… I really need to stop making and get them into the post now! For today’s card, I used a sweet bunny from Flora and Fauna, together with the Poppystamps Decorated Folk Eggs and Memory Box Kempsey Basket which I stuck to an oval cut from an ink blended panel. For the background stripes, I used a die from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Chains 1 dies set. The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted.

Bottle Brush Tree Trio

Happy Friyay everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown! They have a beautiful colour palette again this week – it has a retro Christmas vibe to me – red, aqua and silver!

I always struggle a bit with aqua and often feel I go either too green or too blue. Today I have ended up on the bluer end of that spectrum, but it still looks aqua to me, what do you think?

I used my brand new Flora and Fauna Bottle Brush tree die for my card. Yep ANOTHER new tree die, I definitely have a problem with tree dies… no self control! Anyway, I haven’t been able to find this anywhere in the UK so I bought it from Impress Cards and Crafts in Seattle and crossed my fingers! It actually arrived very quickly, which was such a relief!

The tree holders are from a Penny Black set and the sentiment is by My Favorite Things.
