Fun Easter bunny basket

Happy Friyay everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Just Us Girls challenge which has a fun inspiration photo this week!

I’ve had this fun Bunny die by Marianne Designs in my collection for YEARS but I hadn’t put it with my Easter supplies so always forgot about it… until now! For my card, I used it with a couple of Poppystamps dies – the Country Basket set and the fabulously versatile Floral Cluster die, which I coloured with distress oxide inks.

Sparkly snowflake wishes

Hi there!

Today I’m playing along with the Addicted to CAS challenge which has a theme of snowflake.

Although feels decidedly spring-like here today, I have to confess I was pleased to play with the beautiful Birch Press Design Frosty Flake layer die set, but first I wanted to get inky! I had seen a Nuvo shimmer powder technique that Simon Hurley shared a few weeks ago using a gel media plate so I wanted to try my hand! After getting through the first challenge of removing the acetate sheets from the plate, I got inky!! It was such fun! It took me a few attempts to get a feel for how much water to use but I really like the effect! I’m looking forward to playing with this technique more in future!

I added the die cut snowflake and a Penny Black sentiment to complete my card.

Little Snowdrop vase

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the CAS on Friday challenge which has the theme of ‘spring flowers’!

Although my snowdrops have mostly faded away, I really wanted to use the beautiful snowdrop image from Penny Black’ s Wintry Whites mini stamp set (30-634)! I fussy cut and coloured the image with my Twinkling H2O paints. I then smooshed some distress ink onto my card base, added a frame from the Framed die set (51-622) and a sentiment from the Fragrant Friends stamp set (30-807).

Happy St David’s Day 2022

Happy St David’s Day everyone!

I can’t believe it’s March already and I bet I said the same thing last year too! It’s a very dank day here in London but my snowdrops and crocuses have faded and the daffodil buds are so close to opening! I’m always on the look out for daffodil (and snowdrop) stamps and dies and whilst the latter remain elusive, I have amassed a few daffodil stamps over the years.

The main image is from the Perfumed stamp set by Penny Black (30-819) – it’s a really good size to use on a standard card and such a joy to colour with my Twinkling H2Os! Following the sketch from The Paper Players, I adhered a base panel cut with the Graceful Stackers die set (51-658) and added my image on top. I tucked some swirls (from the Flourish and Butterflies die set (51-198)) behind the daffodil oval

To complete my card, I added a sentiment from the Enliven mini stamp set (30-705).

Amazing vine leaves

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the colour challenge at Sunday Stamps which has a the most amazing inspiration photo.

As soon as I saw the combo, I thought of the amazing colours produced when using Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Stain! It’s my favourite oxide stain because of its unique colouring that appears as you wet and dry it multiple times. So I made a quick inky panel and then cut it using the Simon Says Stamp Vine background die that was gifted to me by a sweet crafty friend very recently.

The sentiment is by Whimsy Stamps.

Tremaine Square centrepiece

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

It’s another fabulous sketch this week, and I had originally planned to use a different shape for the focal point. But then when I was going through my dies for another card, I spotted this beautiful Tremaine Square die from Memory Box and changed my plan for this card! I adhered it to a piece of kraft cardstock and added a few gems. I cut a couple of Impression Obsession butterflies from an old inky panel and added some detail using a coloured pencil. I also added a little butterfly by Simon Says Stamp because I like the rule of three!

To complete my card, I added a sentiment from an old Hero Arts set,
