Day 9 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi there!

I’m playing along withTracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year.

The sponsor for Day 9 was Paper Sweeties. I must confess, I have never heard of the brand so spent a good while on their website looking at their fab goodies! I really liked Lisa Bzibziak’s tag using patterned paper and die cuts so I got to work with some of my oldest Basic Grey patterned paper and dies from Impression Obsession and Lawn Fawn. I finished off the tag with a Hero Arts Sentiment.

Day 8 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi there!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year.

I was so pleased to see that the Day 8 sponsor was Sunny Studio. I got their layered bell set last year and I absolutely love it. In fact, I love all their layering stamps – I find them so easy to line up! Anyway, when I looked at the DT designs, I really like how Francesca Vignoli had used a couple of stamps and a bold sentiment in her tags and that served as my inspiration!

I inked up my beloved bell – and then added the pine branch and bold sentiment from the same Sunny Studios set. To finish off the tag, I added some stickle for a bit of sparkle!

Day 7 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi there!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year.

Birch Press Design was the sponsor for Day 7, which was a little problematic for me. I have a few dies and stamp sets by them, but nothing festive and I’d made a decision at the start of this challenge that I was going to stick to my Christmas supplies – as I have SO MANY of them! So, I decided to use some Memory Box dies and stamps as I think it is a sister company.

Tracey herself was my inspiration for this tag – I’m pretty pleased with how the snowflakes in the set layered up!

Day 6 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi there!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year.

The sponsor for Day 6 was Lil Inker Designs – and the DT had come up with tons of amazing tags! As I had bought a cute (unused) Lil Inker Designs die at the end of last year, I knew I wanted to use that for my tag. I took one of Lynda Pryor’s tags as inspiration and got to work!

I used the ‘Merry & Bright’ die to make a shaker tag – my second so dar this year! I’m loving it! I like how Lynda used patterned paper as the backdrop for her shaker – perfect way of using up some of my massive paper mountain (which never seems to go down!). To finish of the tag, I stuck it to a frame cut from a Spellbinders die and then added some ribbon.

Day 5 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi there!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year.

Altenew was the sponsor for Day 5 – and I have a LOT of Altenew goodies! After perusing the fabulous inspiration from the DT, I decided to base my tag on one made by Erum Tasneem.

I used silver shimmer Delicata ink with the largest star stamp in the Halftone Stars stamp set and paired it with part of a sentiment from the Sketched Evergreen stamp set. This was probably the quickest tag I did (excluding the time it took for me to find my matching star dies, that is!)

Day 4 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi there!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year.

The Day 4 sponsor was Reverse Confetti. Love love love their products and could not believe that I didn’t have anything Christmassy by them! Rather than re-purpose one of their sets, I decided to use a very old wood-mounted stamp from Funstamps as I had been absolutely inspired by the blue/white/snowmen tags that the DT had come up with – I guess my tag is a hybrid of tags made by Jen del Muro and Heather Hoffman.

I created a background using a stencil and the stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts before creating a shaker using a frame die from my Favorite Things. Then I turned to my ‘oldie but goodie’ snowman which I coloured with Twinkling H2Os before fussy cutting him out. I added him to the top of my shaker – thanks Jen, for that idea!

To create the ‘hanger’ for the ribbon, I cut part of a Simon Says Stamp ornament die and stuck that to the back of my tag and then stuck another piece of card on top to prevent it from moving.
