Sweet Snowbells

Hi there!

Today’s CAS card showcases the beautiful Simon Says Stamp Snowbell Bouquet die set that I’ve been wanting to use since I bought it last May. I almost used it this weekend but decided to wait until my own snowdrops appeared – only a few stems are peeking through the arctic tundra that is my garden right now. But I didn’t put it away… and when I saw Beth Stern had a sweet new foster called Snowbelle yesterday, I decided it was a sign!

I used a Penny Black frame to ground my images and the sentiment is from an older Clearly Besotted set.

Sunshine Flowers

Hello everyone!!

Back to my recent Pinkfresh Studio purchases today and I’ve chosen the cheerful image from the Humbled and Grateful product suite. I had a lot of fun colouring this image in a slightly different way today because I decided to focus the colour at the ends of the petals – I really like how it turned out!

I adhered it to a panel that I had cut with the Stitched Diamonds Coverplate die (another Black Friday bargain!) and added a sentiment that was lurking in my sentiments box.

It’s a little early in the month for me to commit a project to the January Pinkfresh Studio monthly challenge but as we can add three entries I’m going to link it up. The theme for the month is ‘Year in Review’ – and I have chosen the April 2025 theme of Floral Frenzy!

Hello Friendly Birdies

Happy Sunday everyone!!

Today’s CAS card showcases two Simon Says Stamp product that I bought last year – the fabulous Birdies die set plus a pretty floral wreath embossing folder. Although this is a very simple card, I spent a while on it – mainly second guessing myself as usual.

The sentiment is from a Waffle Flower Stamps that I’ve had for a while but rarely used, even though it lives in my sentiments box, right on my craft table!

Sweet Blossoms Oval

Happy Saturday everyone!!

Today’s crafty adventures started with Pinkfresh Studio. Be warned I suspect Pinkfresh will feature a lot this year as I went a bit wild with purchasing their amazing product suites last year after I rediscovered them in 2024.

I had wanted the beautiful Sweet Blossoms stencil/die combo for a while but it was sold out in the UK…. so when it was on sale at Pinkfresh I grabbed it up as fast as I could!

I often find it difficult to stay true to my CAS roots when I’m crafting with the Pinkfresh suites because I want to use every image I create! Today I have managed to use just 3 of the 7 images I created from the Sweet Blossoms. I HOPE I remember use the rest of the images soon!

Piped Floral Lace Hello

Hello everyone!!

Between Christmas and the New Year, I started to tidy/reorganise my craft room and was a little taken aback by the amount of new/little used products I unearthed! I have promised myself that I will use them this year. Now this doesn’t mean I won’t be buying any more goodies (I’m only human after all…. and already have an order en route), but I will be mindful about using newer stuff more frequently and more than once!

I also want to send more cards this year. I have realised that I don’t send a lot of my creations – I prefer to make something as and when for my recipients. The only exception is Christmas in July, although I do craft with ‘categories’ of recipients in mind in that month for instance CAS admirers or those who don’t celebrate Christmas. Last July, I was also careful about the thickness of the cards I created as there’s a restriction for a standard card. So this year I will actively create with my existing goodies AND make Royal Mail-friendly creations…. AND get them in the post from time to time!

And so here we are today with the newest arrival in my craft room aka The Most Beautiful Embossing Folder Ever! This is the Altenew Piped Floral Lace 3D folder and I LOVE it! Just look at the incredible detail! It was VERY difficult to find a suitable die cut to add to this – in the end I cut some vellum with an older Honey Bee Studio die and added the Simon Says Stamp Giggle Hello die plus some pearls.

Technically this should be Royal Mail-friendly card but given the state of the cards that landed on my mat this Christmas (almost every single jewel ended up being exposed) – I would definitely add a piece of card to protect it… which probably pushes it beyond the standard postage limits.

I have ideas for making a more postage friendly card with this folder though…more of that later this month!

All Things Merry

Hello everyone!!

Today I’m playing along with the current Pinkfresh Studio monthly challenge which has a theme of ‘Texture & Shine’.

I used a few of my new Pinkfresh products – the fabulous Bloomlight Stitches Coverplate die that landed on my doormat yesterday plus the Holiday Express dies (trees) and some patterned mirror card and got crafty! I added some glittery thread for added texture and replaced a few little circles on the background with glittery circles.

The sentiment is from a set that was the October 2025 Create & Connect event swag.
