Modern Floral Frenzy

Happy Saturday!!

Once again I’m playing along with the current Pinkfresh Studio monthly challenge which has a theme of ‘Geometric Genius’.

For this card I pulled out two die sets that I received in Create & Connect kits – the Modern Design Blocks coverplate and the Floral Frenzy set. I was originally thinking of using a vase to ground my images but was pretty pleased to realise that I could tuck the stems into the die cut background!

The sentiment is from the Playful Petals set.

Delicate Foliage Hello

Hello everyone!!

Today I’m playing along with the current Pinkfresh Studio monthly challenge which has a theme of ‘Geometric Genius’.

I pulled out the Delicate Foliage product suite. This creates quite a unique image as the coordinating stencils don’t colour all the stamped leaves but also create some leaves that aren’t on the outline stamp. I spent a while pondering my colour choices but went with a classic combo in the end. I added my new favourite Twinkle Stickles to the uncoloured leaves for a bit of sparkle!

I had a very different background all set up using die cuts from the Octogaon Grid coverplate die but decided it was a little heavy for my soft image so I pivoted! I used the remaining die cuts from the Octagon Grid to create a pot for my foliage and a few frame accents.

The sentiment is from the Cosy Blooms set.

Happy Heart Day 2026

Happy Heart Day everyone!!

I went a bit wild in the Sizzix sale last weekend – well I never said I wasn’t going to buy stuff, I said I would be mindful with what I purchased, and actually use what I buy…

So there may have been a few impulse purchases in my order, but I did use a die set today – it only arrived yesterday evening so that’s quite good!

The die set of choice was the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Heart Tiles set. I just used one set here with a card in a pack I got years ago from Craftwork Cards (remember them?!). I was starting to stress over the colour combo, but I liked the colours in the pack so just went with those!

LOTS of layers/foam tape with this one! Definitely not one for the Royal Mail’s systems!!

The much-loved sentiment is from an old Reverse Confetti set.

Heart Week 2026 – Day 7

Hi there

It’s Day 7 of Heart Week 2026! The last day of my week long extravaganza crafting with all the heart things. Well, ok, not all, but a nice little collection!

Today I used another item from this week’s Dies to Die For order! This time the My Favorite Things Heart Burst Hellos die took centre stage. I just love taller hearts but larger dies/sets are quite difficult to come by, so I was very happy to pick this one up on Friday.

I woke up with Grand Plans about how I’d use the heart today but by the time I sat at my craft table, I realised that I wanted the beautiful heart to be the star rather than a supporting character.

So I went very CAS – I blended a few purple inks onto some light purple card and cut out the heart. To complete my card. I added die cuts from Simply Graphic and The Greetery plus a Sugar Pea Designs sentiment.

Heart Week 2026 – Day 6

Happy Saturday!

It’s Day 6 of Heart Week 2026!

I was so excited to get my Dies to Die For order this morning – I only ordered it yesterday afternoon! Great service! Anyway, I knew I had to use something that I had just received today and the beautiful new Heirtage Lace Edgers by Pinkfresh Studio won! Isn’t that an amazingly intricate die? So pretty!

I paired it with some Memory Box hearts that I cut from patterned mirror card and adhered everything to a base that I had partially covered with Speckled Egg distress ink. The sentiment is from a Reverse Confetti set.

In other news, guess what I unearthed this afternoon? Yep, the stamp set I was searching for yesterday evening. In a box I’d gone through twice. Typical!

Heart Week 2026 – Day 5

Happy Friyay!

Welcome to Day 5 of Heart Week 2026!

Today’s card has been a year in the making! I bought the cute Taylored Expressions egg cup dies last February with a view to making a cup full of hearts card but then something must’ve happened because I never got round to creating it! So today was the day. I dug into my beloved Basic Grey patterned paper mountain, pulled out some super old Simon Says Stamp/Kelly Purkey heart dies and got crafty!

I then spent far too long looking for a stamp set with the perfect sentiment. I know I found in the depths of my craft room at some point last year because I was annoyed I didn’t have it to hand for Heart Week 2025. Well guess what, it’s AWOL for Heart Week 2026 too! Great! So I chose a stamp from a trusty Mama ELephant set instead. When I find it again, I’m going to keep it on my craft table until Heart Week 2027!!

To complete my card I adhered my image to a background I embossed with Poppystamps piercing dies
