Christmas, New Year and Winter

Merry Geo Tree

Hi there!

I must say that the inspiration board for September’s Pin-sights Challenge is absolutely gorgeous. In my view the best I’ve seen!  So many possibilities….

In the end, I went with something totally outside my comfort zone – I created a watercolour background using a number of colours from the board.

When I was happy with how that was looking, I added some gold watercolour – love how this turned out!

I cut out the tree using the Ellen Hutson/Essentials by Ellen Geo tree die set and used it to cover a section of my finished background. Finally, I added an Essentials by Ellen sentiment to complete the card. I was toying with adding a few stars to the background, but decided to keep it CAS.

And the added bonus? I still have enough of my background left to use in more cards, so don’t be surprised if you see it make a reappearance here before Christmas!

I’m also entering this into this week’s Less is More challenge as the theme is ‘watercolour’.

Glitter, glitter everywhere!

Hi everyone!

I’m loving the latest class from Online Card Classes – Sparkle and Shine! The first class was all about glitter and I chose to create a card using the glitter die cut inlay technique from Jennifer Mcguire.

I chose a large Memory Box die and added smaller dies from Savvy Stamps and Poppystamps before applying TONS of glitter!

I’m entering this into the current Merry Monday Challenge (non-black silhouette).

Red Berry Wreath

Happy Friday! It’s been a few weeks since I played along with the Merry Monday challenge, but I HAD to join this week as the theme is ‘wreath’ and I have a LOT of wreath dies and stamps. I used the sketch from Fusion Card Challenge and all dies and stamps are by Simons Says Stamp.

Finally I added tons of enamel dots that I made using Nuvo drops and added two glittery cardinals to finish it off!

Thanks for stopping by!
