Festive Wishes

Happy Friyay everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown! They have a beautiful colour palette again this week – cranberry, mint and cream!

I used my brand new Reverse Confetti background die together with trees from the Newton’s Nook Forest Scene Builder set.

The sentiment is from a Hunkydory/Moonstone sentiment set.

Day 23 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 23 was Penguin Palace. There was so much inspiration from the designers! I particularly loved Bobbi’s tags – all that texture!

For my tag, I created a base using my new Rustic Wilderness distress oxide and black soot oxide. I then applied Nuvo embellishment mousse using a Uniko stencil. Finally I added zillions of branches cut from a Poppystamps die and added a sentiment from a very old Hero Arts wood-mounted set!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wood slices

Hi everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I’m so happy that this sketch gave me the push I needed to craft this weekend! And what’s more, I got to use my brand new Wood Slices dies from The Greetery. I love the Greetery products but given the international shipping delays at the moment, I don’t buy much from the US. I made an exception for these amazing wood slices dies! After an extended stay in Chicago, I finally received them at the end of last week. Can’t believe it then took me another week to use them!

I paired them with the beautiful Playful Petal bundle die by Memory Box and a sentiment by The Ton Stamps.

AAA Cards Along the edge challenge with snowflakes twist

Hi there!

It’s time for another challenge at AAA Cards!  This fortnight we’d like you to create a CAS card using just one edge of your card. Our optional twist this time is ‘snowflakes’. Uniko is our sponsor.

When I saw the optional twist, I knew I wanted to use my Poppystamps Snowflake Breeze die for this challenge. I couldn’t believe it when I went to my freshly-organised festive die boxes…. the die wasn’t there! Isn’t that always the way?! So then I began a frantic search for the die.. Fortunately it didn’t take too long to find it in a random box of supplies!

I cut the die from some navy cardstock before adhering it to an old ink blended panel. I then put the whole section onto a navy card base, overlapping the die cut along the edge and adding a Hero Arts sentiment.

While I made this card with the portrait orientation in mind, I think it also works as a landscape card… which one do you prefer?

My team mates have come up with some beautiful cards which are on the AAA Cards challenge blog. We are also joined by a previous challenge winner, Neeti, who has some really cute inspiration on her blog!

Hope you can play along with us!
