Merry Christmas Lights

Hi everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

For this card, I was inspired by Libby who created a beautiful card using a Hero Arts background/frame die! I immediately thought that my brand new Penny Black Looped Stackers dies could be coupled with the Concord & 9th ornaments from their Take a Bough Trimmings set. I coloured the baubles with my Tonic Nuvo markers and applied some Nuvo glaze on top of each of them. The sentiment is by Savvy Stamps.

AAA Cards Made in Minutes with Christmas

Hi there!

It’s time for our last challenge of 2020 at AAA Cards!  This fortnight we’d like you to create a CAS card in ‘minutes’. Our optional twist this time is ‘Christmas’. Stamplorations is our sponsor.

Some of you may remember that this is my least favourite challenge theme – for me crafting is relaxing, not something I want to rush through. Mind you, I have to confess that this time, I did actually make the card in minutes!

I used a die from The Greetery to emboss a section of the card base and then assembled my snowflake (Birch Press Frosty Flake layering die).

To complete my card, I added a Mama Elephant.

My team mates have come up with some beautiful cards which are on the AAA Cards challenge blog. We are also joined a previous challenge winner, Dena, who has some great cards on her blog.

Hope you can play along with us!

Day 26 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

Day 26 is a bonus day with My Favorite Things as sponsor. As usual, the designers had come up with some amazing inspiration and I was particularly taken by the two tags by Carol using the Delightful Deer dies.

I used some of my beloved Basic Grey patterned paper for the base and then added the cute deer cut from glitter paper! This came together so quickly but I love how the deer just pops against that fabulous paper!

I’ve loved this challenge even more this year! It’s been such fun stepping outside my comfort zone from time to time and using a variety of my festive supplies – old and new alike!

Thanks to Tracey and all the designers who made this such a fun event!

And thanks to you, of course, for stopping by!

Day 25 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 25 was Pretty Prink Posh. I love this brand so much and I couldn’t wait to use the winter wreath stamp set for my tag using the inspiration provided by Jeanne.

Day 24 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 24 was Heffy Doodle and the team had many colourful tags – such great inspiration. When I saw the tree tag that Tallie created, I thought of the Tannenbaum cling stamp by Penny Black so decided to use that for my tag. The sentiment is from a set by My Favorite Things.
