Hello everyone!
Welcome to Day 21of Christmas in July! Today I’m playing along with the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown! This week, they have a theme challenge – Santa! And as you can see, I have stepped well outside my CAS comfort zone with my entry!
Now, surprisingly, given my penchant for all things Christmas crafting, I have very few Santa stamps. I was going to use a very old wood-mounted stamp until I remembered the Tim Holtz Christmas Time stamp set that I picked up at my local craft store last year! I just adore the Santa/reindeer stamp – it is such a joyful image, don’t you think? Anyway, I used the wrinkle-free inking technique to apply a couple of layers of distress ink. Yes I smooshed the inkpads in a certain order so that the Festive Berries ended up around Santa and the Rusty Hinge went around the deer!
I added a Gina K sentiment and stamped a few stars from the same Tim Holtz stamp set across the background using Pumice Stone distress oxide. Finally I added some glitter paste using the Tim Holtz Sparkle stencil! What an apt name!
Thanks for stopping by!

Lucie G: This is a fabulous creation for the Santa theme challenge for 52 CCT blog! Thanks for participating! The card is also fabulous because it is festive and vibrant as a single layer which is terrific to save on postage costs if you have lots of Christmas cards to mail. Great idea! –Becca/DT for 52 CCT
