Hello everyone!

I am back with my first Crafts-U-Love DT card for March! I always love receiving my DT package as it’s fun to see what the team has picked for me to play with! This month I received the Spectacular Birthday stamps from My Favorite Things* and the Tea Party ink cube set from Lawn Fawn*. I don’t have many Lawn Fawn inks, so I was really looking forward to trying those out!

I must confess that I had to put my thinking cap on as soon as I saw the stamp set – I don’t really do cutesy and I have never been to a circus, so I knew I needed to think of another way of using the sweet images!

As you can see, for my first card this month, I decided to use the little bear as an accent on a Thank You card. I fussy cut the stamped image and coloured him in using watercolours. Then I cut some white glitter cardstock using a Creative Expressions die which I stacked on two layers of regular cardstock to add some depth to the die cut.

I then softly blended three colours from the Lawn Fawn inks set. They blend beautifully! I used a mini blending tool and a very light hand to build intensity slowly.

I stamped the supporting sentiment (also from the set) and then adhered the die cut sentiment and some stars that I had cut from the glitter card. Finally I adhered the little bear using sticky fixers.
