I’m so excited that one of my favourite challenges is having a DT call over the next couple of weeks. I love playing along at Freshly Made Sketches, so here is my take on their current sketch – and my entry for the DT call.
I had originally planned a one-layer background, but after creating a blended background with regular distress ink, I tore the front of the card when I was removing the masking tape. Argh! In the end, I cut out my panel and adhered it to another base card. Before adhering it, I applied some luna paste through a Tim Holtz stencil. Oh my! I love this paste so much – it is so sparkly!
I stamped, coloured and cut a cute snowman from the My Favorite Things Frosty Friends set and added that to the centre panel and finally added a small Clearly Besotted sentiment to finish off the card.
Thanks for stopping by!
Love these pretty colors! Such a fresh feel to that purple and the silver is wonderful. So glad to see you this week at FMS and thanks for entering our DT call!
That snowman is so sweet! Love the soft purple with those amazing silver trees!
I love that background! Adorable card!
Fab card Lucie, the lilac background with those gorgeous sparkly trees is beautiful and really suits this cute snowman 😊
Such a sweet snowman and what a lovely background you created for him. I’ve torn more than one card when I take the tape off – I’m glad you recovered on this one! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Wow! This is gorgeous! The background is truly stunning and I fall for this cheerful snowman. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
