AAA Fourth Birthday

Happy Sunday everyone!

It’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Cards and we are celebrating our fourth birthday with a blog hop and a treasure hunt this fortnight!

Each of the design team members has a colour square hidden somewhere in their blog post. Simply collect all the colours and discover which colour turns up three times. Then email your answer (the colour that appears three times) to our lovely team admininstrator, Jane, at aaacardchallenge at

Our sponsors have been very generous and we have lots of prizes which can be won in a number of ways:

  • Create a card – make a CAS birthday card and link it over at our challenge post in the usual way
  • Enter our treasure hunt
  • Like, comment and follow us on social media (Facebook and Instagram)
  • Visit each of the 11 design team members’ blogs and leave a comment

Here are the blog hop links:

Lucie – you are here

For my card, I used stamps from one of our sponsors, Newton’s Nook. I just HAD to have this stamp as soon as I saw that cute cat balloon! Anyway, after stamping and colouring Newton, I masked the image and also some cloud shapes before gently blending some distress ink.

And for those of you looking… here is my colour square!

My teammates have shared some gorgeous CAS cards on the AAA Cards blog – I do hope you can join us with all the fun this fortnight!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Such a sweet image! Love how you inked just a little bit of background. Still CAS, but anchors him nicely.

  2. Awwwww love how soft this card is. I rarely go soft. Definitely need to now! Thanks for the inspiration.

  3. This is so cute.. and the softness of the whole card makes it cuter. How gentle you would have been while blending.. that’s a skill to learn!

  4. Love this fun card with Newton! Pretty, soft coloring! Happy 4th birthday to AAA Cards! I’m enjoying all the cards along the hop!

  5. Great card with the cat and balloons! Thanks for all the inspiration for AAA challenges. You show a great use of pastel colors on your cards.
