Happy Friyay from snowy London! Ugh! I hate this weather, but the snow day has given me the opportunity to play with the brilliant glazed distress oxide technique demonstrated by Jennifer McGuire.
It’s so much fun! I don’t use alcohol inks, so I was happy to hear this technique could be used for a similar effect! I used regular glossy paper that I’ve had for YEARS and Candied Apple and Seedless Preserves distress oxide inks and these backgrounds came together so quickly! After applying the glaze, I splattered some gold paint on the background but as some of it came off when I was assembling the card, I think I’ll try adding it before I apply the glaze next time!
I used one of my favourite Hero Arts background dies to cut up one background and yes, I did put foam on the back of all those butterflies – it didn’t take THAT long. I finished off the card with a die from Savvy Stamps. Now I just have to hope it survives the postal system next week!
Have a great weekend!
