Window on Love

Happy Saturday people!

Today is a great day as I was finally able to play with the wonderful Hero Arts Window on Love confetti die! I have wanted this for soooooo long and snapped it up when Seven Hills Crafts got it in this week!

I decided to use it to play along with the current Twofer challenge (hearts).

For the first card, I channelled my inner Laura Fadora and used the wonderful ‘Press ‘n Seal’ technique that she demonstrated a few weeks ago. Thanks for the inspiration Laura, I LOVE this technique. It did take AGES to apply foam to the back of the confetti pieces, but it was totally worth it! Once I had stuck all the little die cut images to the base card, I embossed a sentiment (from an older Hero Arts set) on vellum and stuck it onto the card.

For my second card, I used just a few of the die cut hearts to create a little strip on my CAS card. The sentiment is also from an older Hero Arts stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Love how you channelled your inner Laura for that first card, Lucie … the soft, sponged colours are gorgeous and the delicate dimension is positively touchable! Delicious CASness on your second card … those lovely hearts look as through they’re dancing across it! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Anita 🙂

  2. These are both sensational, Lucie! You did Laura Fadora proud with your all-over gorgeous coloring! I can’t believe you put foam on every little heart, but I agree it is hugely impactful and worth it! And your sweet CASlicious card letting someone know they are loved just melts my heart! Awesome warm sunset-y colors!! Thank you so much for playing along in Twofer Card Challenge #2!! Hugs, Darnell

  3. It’s so fun to get a die or stamp after eyeing it for a while! I’m glad you snapped it up in time to play with us at the Twofer Card Challenge! Placing foam on the back of each of those pieces is really a labor of love, and it is so gorgeous! The colors are beautiful on both of your cards, and I love the additional bits of bling scattered among the hearts on your second card! Thanks for joining us at Twofer!
