Simple one layer Happy Birthday card

Hi everyone

I’m very excited that my Stamptember goodies came today!!!!! Before I open them up and start playing, I thought I’d share this card which I created for the current Less is More challenge – which has a theme of ‘colouring in/one-layer card’.

I stamped an image from the Simon Says Stamp Spring Seeds set and then added a sentiment from the Sketch Ranunculus set. Thank goodness again for the MISTI – I was able to position the sentiment in exactly the right spot! Would have taken ages in the pre-MISTI days!

Anyway, I dry-embossed a Spellbinders die around the image and then coloured using my Twinking H2Os. I added a touch of stickles to finish it off.

I’m also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge – both have the theme of ‘Stamp It’.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Such a pretty and feminine card Lucie. I especially like the delicate shading inside the dry embossed area. as that draws the eye in to the central focal point. Yep – I’m with you on the Misti front – wouldn’t be without mine now. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More xx

  3. Such a delicate card. Love the embossed frame and the pastel colours you used. I don’t know what I’d do without my MISTI now, funny how things change!
