It may sound odd, but I really like the word ‘jalopy’! It will always bring back memories of when my dad and I accidentally encountered the London to Brighton veteran car run one Sunday when we were running errands! Of course, most of those cars were in brilliant condition, but I love the word and so I will always use it to describe those wonderful vintage vehicles!

And of course this old Hero Arts stamp was the first thing I thought of when I saw that the theme for this week’s Less Is More challenge is ‘vehicle’. I created a very simple one layer card for the challenge, adding some subtle stencilled lines to anchor the gorgeous jalopy image which I had stamped in distress oxide ink.

I added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted to complete my card!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Loving the clean lines and vintage image on this card, Lucie! The background looks like “go faster” stripes – perfect for a car themed card! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More 🙂

  2. This is just fantastic Lucie. A perfect example of a classy vintage car and love the ‘go faster’ background stripes – same as Esther. Great idea and thanks for joining us at Less is More this week.

  3. So stylish, CAS perfection! I love your use of stenciled lines for grounding this beautiful image. Great color palette too. Thanks for joining us at Less Is More!
