Sweet Strawberries

Happy Saturday!

Today’s card is inspired by two challenges – the Casology challenge (cue word – juicy) and the Retro Rubber challenge (a summery photo inspiration).

I pulled out one of my older Magenta stamps, which I think I’ve had for about 3 years, maybe more…. but which I’m ashamed to say, I have never used! I’ve said it before, and I know I will be saying it again in future, but I am so grateful I found the Retro Rubber blog – it really inspires me to use my oft-neglected wooden stamp collection.

Anyway, I coloured the image using my Twinkling H20s and added some stickles to the flower. I cut out a square from some white card using a die by My Favorite Things and added a sentiment by Altenew (seriously, it took me longer to choose the sentiment than make this card! Couldn’t decide between punny eg ‘I’m berry sorry’ or more serious!).

I added the white card on top of my base card using funky foam for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

  1. I’m so happy that you are enjoying Retro Rubber so much! Your card is gorgeous. I love the sweetly coloured image nestled in behind the stitched window. That really showcases your basket of berries as does all that lovely white space. Thanks so much for joining us at Retro Rubber for our summer colour challenge.

  2. This is gorgeous. Love how you framed your image in that fun window. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.

  3. Great card, I love the aperture, I think your sentiment works just as well as a ‘punny’ one. I too am a CASology fan, I ran out of time to play last week. Thank for playing with us this time at Retro Rubber. Claire DT

  4. So glad the RRCB helps you! It helps me too for the same reason! Love your cute design, the window look is so inspiring. That other challenge looks like fun too! Thanks for joining us at RRCB!
