Hi Everyone!

For today’s card, I used a new Riley’s & Company sentiment – which I HAD to have as soon as I saw it! I have a lot of cake stamps so I have a feeling this will be appearing on quite a few cards!

I used an older stamp/die set from Simon Says Stamp which I coloured using my Twinkling H2Os. The background was created using some controlled ink smooshing!

Hello friends! Life has been so busy this month! I’ve missed you all! I’m hoping that October will be less manic... I managed to carve out some much-needed craft time yesterday and made 3 cards for this month’s #caschristmascardchallenge which has the theme of ‘wreath’. For my cards, I did some inlaid die cutting with a couple of @poppystamps dies and I also dusted down some older @rubberstamptapestry stamps and stamped a bauble wreath. Unfortunately I smudged one of the branches, but was able to save my card with a fabulous @concordand9th die cut! Phew! It felt good to craft again! And I was so happy to make 3 cards!!! Hello everyone! Life has been super busy this week! No time for crafting or social media! 😑 I was determined to carve out some time to craft today as I really wanted to play along with a couple of my favourite challenges- @colorthrowdown and @freshlymadesketches. Hi everyone! I’ve been playing with some pretty @pinkfreshstudio flower stamps for my latest @craftsuloveltd DT card. After spending quite some time on the background, I really didn’t want to hide too much of it with a sentiment.... I almost added a hidden die cut, but nothing seemed right... In the end, I decided to add a narrow strip with a @heroarts sentiment and a couple of fussy cut flowers. Full details are on my blog. Hi there! Look! I finally used the fabulous @ellenhutsonllc Strands die! I wanted this for so long, got it in May and I’m only just using it now! I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to use it! Tell me I’m not alone, crafty friends! Anyway, I decided to make an encouragement card for the @poppystamps challenge (‘make a splash’) and used their little whale stamps, which I had to fussy cut as the coordinating dies have gone AWOL 😡 I created the background using the faux alcohol ink technique with #distressoxide, glossy paper and #distressglaze. I can’t use alcohol inks so I’m happy I can create the same effect. Hello! It’s been a very long time since I played along with a @mftstamps challenge, not sure why as I have a LOT of MFT goodies! Anyway, I love the unusual colour palette for the current #mftcolorchallenge (2 shades of blue, kraft and persimmon) and used my favourite snowflake dies for this card. Still can’t believe I had glitter card in the perfect shade of persimmon..... Actually I CAN believe it as I do have quite a glitter card mountain here! Hi everyone! It’s time for a new @aaacardchallenge and this fortnight we are challenging you to use a stencil to create a CAS card. I chose a @johnnxtdoor stencil which I coloured with #distressoxide inks using my new detail ink blending tools. I also added a layer of glitter paste - it was interesting to see how the colour was changed by the glitter glue- I actually used dusty concord ink for the purple tree but it looks more like seedless preserves don’t you think? The sentiment is by @simonsaysstamp. I’m also entering this into the current #caschristmascardchallenge (tree). Happy Friyay everyone! My @altenewllc watercolours arrived this morning so I had a quiet afternoon swatching and playing with them! I even managed to finally ink up and colour this beautiful @simonsaysstamp floral image with them! I added a strip embossed with a @sizzix folder and a @mftstamps sentiment. Hello! Thanks for your kind comments and DMs! They cheered me up during this painful week. 😣😣😣 I’m so relieved I was able to have meds, I dread to think what shingles must be like without them. Hi everyone! I’m feeling very sorry for myself as I got shingles over the weekend. And it is so painful 😣 Luckily my doctor prescribed some meds, still waiting for them to kick in. I was able to finish this card after being inspired by @ellenhutsonllc #colortrendchallenge. I wasn’t too sure about the aqua as I wouldn’t usually put it with purples, but I liked it in the inspiration photo so I thought I’d try it! What do you think? Happy Saturday! The heatwave’s over and it’s a typical British summer’s day (overcast, cool). I should be in the garden as some shrubs need serious attention, but instead I’m in the craft room playing with my new @averyellestamps Quirky Trees stamp set. Last month I told myself I would be more restrained with Christmas supplies this year- I have so much already! And what do I do as soon as the first release hits the stores?! At least I only got one set I suppose! I couldn’t wait to ink up those trees as soon as got them this morning (thanks @sevenhillscrafts for the super-fast shipping again).
