Hello! I received the cute @heroarts seal stamps last week and couldn’t wait to use them! Isn’t this seal sweet? Reminds me of one I saw in Alaska a few months ago - he was really showing off for us as our boat went by! So when I saw this sentiment in a @papersmooches set that I ordered at the same time, I knew I had to use them both on one card! I created the background with #distressoxide inks and glossy paper. I can’t use alcohol inks so I love that this technique creates a similar effect! It’s the 15th which means it’s time for my @craftsuloveltd DT card. This month I receive the fabulous @johnnxtdoor butterflies set and tried to use every stamp in the set on one card 😆. I didn’t quite manage it! To finish off the card, I added a sentiment from @pennyblackstamps and some gems. Hello my name is Lucie and I may have a problem with background dies 😉. Love them all! But they have a higher price point so I often dither before committing.... But when I saw this fabulous @reverseconfetti background die a few weeks ago, I KNEW there would be no dithering! I had to have it and snapped it up as soon as @sevenhillscrafts had it in store on Tuesday! Isn’t it fabulous! Got so many ideas for it! Today I popped the die cut on top of one of my rejected #distressoxide blended backgrounds and added a sentiment from @winnieandwalter. It’s safe to say I’ll be using this background die a LOT!!! Hello! It’s Wednesday so that means the @colorthrowdown team have another fabulous colour combo (yellow, kraft, grey and white) and here’s what I can up with. Hi everyone! Another Christmas in July card again from me today - as that’s also the theme for this fortnight’s @aaacardchallenge. Happy Friyay! It’s crazy hot here but I’m powering on with my #christmasinjulycards 🎄 For this card I used a die from @memoryboxco and my current favourite product - my @tonicstudios #nuvocrystalglaze. I added #nuvoaquashimmer to the petals before applying the glaze. It’s very shimmery in real life.... can’t seem to capture that on my camera, unfortunately. The sentiment is by @casfridays. I’m entering this into the current #caschristmascardchallenge (poinsettia), #casfridayschallenge (embossing), #sssmchallenge and #ssswchallenge (red, white and/or blue). Have a great weekend. Hi everyone! After last years’s #festivecardmakingfrenzy, I promised myself that I would start earlier this year. So I’m embracing Christmas in July 🎄 It’s fun to play with the supplies I got in the sales.. or when they were back in stock, like this fabulous @heroarts background stamp that I was so sure I didn’t want.... until I saw what the talented @yana.smakula did with it... by then of course it was out of stock. Happy Wednesday and Happy 4th of July to my US friends! I’m so excited to be the guest designer for one of my favourite challenges this week - @colorthrowdown. This week’s colour palette is navy, blush, white and gold. The team is celebrating their 500th challenge this week and so I just had to do a celebration card to mark this amazing milestone! Hello! I can’t believe it’s 1 July! Seriously, where did the first half of the year go?! For today’s card, I decided to use a @concordand9th cacti set that I bought last year but had never used 🙄. I embossed it on some card that I’d smooshed onto leftover #colorbursts ink. The different colour particles that you see when you sprinkle the colour bursts had been diluted, but I really like the shade of green! Will definitely try this again! Happy Saturday! Today I have my second card for the @craftsuloveltd design team. I was inspired by a Christmas card @mayholicdesign made using lots of @pinkfreshstudio images last year but decided on a monochromatic scheme for my card! The ‘birthday’ stamp is from a set by @heroarts and all other stamps are by @pinkfreshstudio. Full details are on my blog. Happy Friyay everyone! I absolutely love playing along with the @colorthrowdown challenge- it’s such fun coming up with ways to use the weekly colour combo. Every now and then there’s a combo that isn’t really ‘me’ and I struggled a bit with this week’s palette - blue, green and yellow. In the end, I used an older die from @concordand9th and made my own glitter card with #distressink and #nuvoglimmerpaste. After I made the heart, I felt the card needed something more so I applied some glimmer paste with a stencil from @altenewllc! Got to love all that glitter 🙂 I’m also entering this into the current @wherecreativitymeetsc9 challenge- sparkle and shine. Hello from a very hot London! I’m playing along with the current #casethissketch challenge which is very minimalist this week. Sometimes the most minimalist designs require the most thought, don’t you think?! I was also totally inspired by @jennifermcguireink’s faux stained glass window technique and had to try it... repeatedly 😉 I originally tried a black outline, but wasn’t too sure about it so tried white and silver card too. Which is your favourite? I think this technique may figure in some of my Christmas cards this year! So much fun! Hi there! Can you believe it’s time for another @aaacardchallenge?! 2018 is flying by isn’t it?! Anyway the theme for this fortnight’s challenge is ‘use a frame’.
