Embossed branch hearts

Hello everyone!

I’ve been playing with the Simon Says Stamp Brushed Branches background stamp today. For these cards, I embossed the image and then blended some distress oxide inks over them. I just LOVE those inks. They blend so nicely.

As Valentine’s is less than a week away, I decided to turn my backgrounds into CAS Valentine cards using a die from Memory Box and a couple of sentiments from Simon Says Stamp.

Which is your favourite??

I’m entering these into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge (It must be love) and the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge (Love/hearts).

Have a delightful day!

Hi Everyone!

I’m loving the sketch for this week’s Case This Sketch challenge – so many possibilities! In the end, I kept it simple!

I stamped and coloured a fabulous image from PaperArtsy using distress oxide inks. To finish off the card, I added a  Clearly Besotted sentiment to a blended strip of card and adhered it to the card.

I thank the stars

Hello everyone!

As my distress oxides have been out this weekend, I decided to put them to use for my entry into this week’s Colour Throwdown challenge. It’s another great combo (aqua, orange and grey) and I decided to use the sketch for the current Case This Sketch challenge as well.

I used the dies and a stamp from My Favorite Things, but the white background felt a little stark when I started layering the stars. That’s an unusual thing for me to say really as CAS is usually my go to/comfort zone! In the end, I decided to  use a Hero Arts stencil to add a little interest!

Belated birthday wishes to you

Happy Saturday everyone!

My new distress oxide inks arrived this morning and I have spent the day happily playing with them.

Here’s the first card I made using a die by Memory Box, a stencil by Studio Light and a sentiment from Winnie & Walter.

I’m entering this into the current Casology challenge where the theme is ‘late’.

You are my favourite

Hi there!

The partner company for this month’s Ellen Hutson Mix It Up challenge is Concord and 9th – perfect for me as I have quite a few C9 products!

I bought the turnabout polka dots stamp just before Christmas but hadn’t had time to ink it up – I rectified that today! I decided to stamp it three times (rather than four) to leave a few gaps in the pattern. It’s so pretty – and super fast to use! I then cut it with a die from the Essentials by Ellen Folk Heart set.

I added a C9 sentiment from an Autumn stamp set – the full sentiment reads ‘You are my favourite season’, but I masked off the last word to turn it into a Valentine’s sentiment instead.

I used my tiny attacher to fix the sentiment to the heart and then stuck it to a kraft base card.

Just sitting here…

Happy Friyay everyone!

I love the link chain oval dies from the January My Favorite Things release and I could not believe it when they landed on my door mat this morning as I only ordered them yesterday lunch time. Thank you for your great service, Dies to Die For!

Anyway, I wanted to play with them straight away and so I inked up a bear from the sweet Polar Bear Pals set. I coloured him using my beloved Twinkling H2O paints and added some soft ink blending to the background. I lifted some ink using water, but unfortunately, you can’t really see that from my photos – I guess the blending was a little too soft. I added some shimmer to the insides of the chain frame using my Tonic Nuvo Aqua shimmer pen – I love that shimmer!
