The Stamp Market

Day 13 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2021

Hi everyone!

As Tracey McNeely isn’t running her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year, I have created my own event using 25 days from Tracey’s event posts over the last decade, as I explained in this post.

Day 13’s inspiration is Day 13, 2016. I loved all the layers in Chrissy’s tag so here’s my take using the fabulous Winter’s Wispy Trees by the Stamp Market.

Magical wispy trees

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today, I’m playing along with this week’s Color Throwdown challenge  which has a fabulous  combo of pink, lavender and aqua.

I used the fabulous new Winter’s Wispy Trees from the Stamp Market plus a die cut and sentiment by My Favorite Things.

Belated Birthday Blossoms!

Happy Good Friday!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown challenge which has another beautiful colour palette this week – blush, dark pink and cream. Perfect for for a cherry blossom card!

I used the Stamp Market’s Ready to Bloom cover die to cut a panel I’d covered with Tattered Rose distress ink. I then added a little Worn Lipstick in the centre of each bloom… but when I looked at itm the contrast wasn’t as intense as I wanted – I knew I needed to add a different shade of pink to represent the dark pink in the palette. So, I blended some Picked Raspberry distress ink for the Creative  Expressions die cut sentiment. I adhered the die cuts to a card base that I’d altered with Antique Linen distress oxide ink and then added some glittery Nuvo drops to complete my card.

Happy St David’s Day 2021

Happy St David’s Day everyone!

I really can’t believe it’s March already, can you? Spring is definitely in the air in my part of the world at the moment so that’s the them I chose for my take on one of my favourite sketch challenges – Freshly Made Sketches.

To start with, I die cut some patterned paper using a die from the Penny Black Geometic Borders die set and adhered it to my card base. Then I adhered a vellum square on top. I stamped, coloured and fussy cut a beautiful daffodil image by Clearly Besotted which I stuck to the vellum square, hiding the glue I used to adhere the square.

To complete my card, I added a little bow from baker’s twine and a sentiment from Memory Box.

Restful Hello

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I’m playing along with two challenges – the Color Throwdown and Freshly Made Sketches.

I actually got off to a bit of a false start with this card – and somewhere on my craft table I have a lovely gold embossed background…. which ended up not working in the way I had wanted… Hopefully I can include it in a card soon… I have so many rejected backgrounds that I really need to start using!

Anyway, for my second and final attempt at both challenges, I used the beautiful Ready to Bloom cover die by The Stamp Market, together with a Winnie & Walter sentiment die and a Penny Black butterfly die.

Colourful Tall Trees

Happy Friyay everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown! The palette this week is kraft, red, green and chartreuse.

I immediately thought of the chartreuse colour burst and knew I had to create a card using that! I created a few inky backgrounds and used the Tall Tree dies from the Stamp Market to cut a few trees. I LOVE this die and was stalking my UK retailer until the die went live on the site and snapped it up straightaway!

I added a few splashes of kraft paint at the tree bases and die cut some kraft stars and dots to add to the sky. The sentiment is stamped in Frayed Burlap distress oxide and is by Mama Elephant.
