The Greetery

A Mustard Sunflower

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge using the fab colour combo from this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.

I chose some Stampin Up paper from my patterned paper mountain and added a flower and leaves from The Greetery’s Sunflower Botanicuts die set, which I cut from some panels I’d made from distress spray stains some time ago. You would not believe how long I spent playing with the position of the leaves!! Anyway, I still felt it needed a little something extra so I added some Memory Box stems cut from vellum.

Finally I added a Hero Arts sentiment.

A Windmill just for you

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge using the beautiful colour combo from this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.

I’ve been wanting to use my new Countryside die set from The Greetery ever since I got it. I have to confess, I bought it just for that fabulous windmill! I don’t have any other windmill dies and so I NEEDED this one!

Anyway, I coloured all the images with distress inks and adhered them to a background that I created with distress inks, a landscape stencil and tiny cloud dies that I used to create masks for the sky!

I then embossed a strip of card using one for my favourite Simon Says Stamp folders and adhered my scenic circle. To complete my card, I added some stickles to the trees and a sentiment by Clearly Besotted.

Aqua Hollyhocks

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Color Throwdown challenge.

I’ve been wanting to play with my new Hollyhocks Botanicuts dies set by The Greetery for a while – it came arrived just as I was getting into Christmas in July so has been sitting in my ‘new box’ since then. I don’t think I have ever seen aqua hollyhocks in real life but hey anything is possible in our little crafty world, eh!

I paired the die set with an older Tonic Studios sentiment die and added some sequins and Nuvo glitter drops to complete my card.

Good Vibes Butterfly

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along with this week’s Just Us Girls challenge – the word is ‘butterflies’.

I ended up using just one butterfly, but I figured that was allowed as a few DT members had done the same! I bought the fabulous Greetery Jumbo Curiosity Butterfly die and stencil set and I was keen to use it today! As you can see, I used very different colours for me – I was totally inspired by some of the colours used by the Greetery’s DT!

I used the Simon Says Stamp Floral Centrepiece embossing folder but then got a bit stuck with the positioning of the butterfly. In the end, I cut a heart from some ‘special vellum’ and used that to ground the butterfly. Can you see the pretty dots in the vellum? I bought this sheet MANY years ago, but knew it would be perfect to add very subtle interest to the heart!

To complete my card, I added a My Favorite Things sentiment and a few sequins.

Forget-me-not hello

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge .

When I started on this card, I knew I wanted to use an embossing folder for the bottom part of the sketch, but apart from that, I just let my recent supplies lead the way! I flicked through my recent purchases and decided that it was most definitely time to use the beautiful Forget-Me-Not botanicut die set from The Greetery that I finally got hold of last month. I used a stamp from the Taylored Expressions Abstract Accents set and a Simon Says Stamp embossing folder. It wasn’t the one that I had intended to use, but I actually don’t think I’ve bought the particular folder that I had in mind!! The sentiment is by Memory Box.

Christmas in July 2022 – Day 29

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Day 29 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2022! Today’ I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown challenge which has a peaceful palette of cream, kraft and powder blue.

For my card, I used The Greetery’s Rustic Wreath die set plus a few Waffle Flower ornaments. I’m a bit disappointed that the blue in the photos looks much deeper than real life!

The sentiment is by Creative Expressions.
