Heart Week 2026 – Day 7

Hi there

It’s Day 7 of Heart Week 2026! The last day of my week long extravaganza crafting with all the heart things. Well, ok, not all, but a nice little collection!

Today I used another item from this week’s Dies to Die For order! This time the My Favorite Things Heart Burst Hellos die took centre stage. I just love taller hearts but larger dies/sets are quite difficult to come by, so I was very happy to pick this one up on Friday.

I woke up with Grand Plans about how I’d use the heart today but by the time I sat at my craft table, I realised that I wanted the beautiful heart to be the star rather than a supporting character.

So I went very CAS – I blended a few purple inks onto some light purple card and cut out the heart. To complete my card. I added die cuts from Simply Graphic and The Greetery plus a Sugar Pea Designs sentiment.

Bitty Botanicals

Hello everyone!!

While I love making CAS cards, I also love acquiring lots of pretty flowery products and just couldn’t resist the Bitty Botanicals suite by The Greetery. Well I tried to resist it, but just ended up buying it bit by bit over six months!! It’s such a clever little set where the greenery is stamped and then the flowers are stencilled.

I was originally going to create a CAS card with the little flowers but I just couldn’t cut the background image when I finished the stamping and stencilling! Next time!!

I added the Diamond Ribbons die cut to the image and adhered a few glittery ribbons and a Pinkfresh Studio sentiment to complete my card.

Christmas in July 2025 – Day 22

Hi there!

It’s Day 22 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2025!

Today I’ve paired a frame from the older Simon Says Stamp Holiday Frames die set with some fabulous vintage baubles from The Greetery’s Curio Attic Ornaments die set. The baubles arecut from Craft Consortium paper but you would not believe how often I second guessed myself on the pearlescent card I used for the other elements of each bauble!!! I got there in the end though!

Egg Week 2025 Day 1

Hi there!

I can’t quite believe that Easter is next weekend! Even though it’s very late this year and we seem to have been waiting for it forever, it has still snuck up on me a bit! So I hereby declare today the first day of LucieG’s Egg Week 2025! Today I’m also playing along with this fortnight’s  Color Throwdown challenge which has a fabulous spring combo of lavender, mint green and yellow.

I’ve had this card idea in my head for a while. I started with a panel which I blended with Pumice Stone, intensifying the ink coverage towards the bottom. I then cut this with my new The Greetery  Diamond Ribbons die and adhered it to my card base.

I cut and coloured Poppystamps’ Folk Decorated Eggs using distress ink (Squeezed Lemonade), distress oxide (Shaded Lilac) and Pinkfresh ink (Mint). I often find the name of purple inks to be a little misleading so tend to match colours using my eye for this challenge. Sometimes the CTD team members mention what inks they use and that is VERY helpful (thanks dear Broni!).

The sentiment is from a set by Simon Says Stamp.

Winter wishes Basket

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along with one of my favourite challenges, the Color Throwdown. While I’m a little sad that the challenge has moved to fortnightly, I’m relieved that it is sticking around – I know that running a challenge is a lot of work for the DT/admins.

Anyway, this week’s combo is black, white and grey. Funnily enough I was going to use some layered background dies but when I checked my blog to see when I last used the plates, I discovered it was in January 2023 for the challenge that had the same combo plus red!!

So instead I used dies by The Greetery for my card. I used Craft Consortium paper for the basket – and it was MUCH easier to weave compared to cardstock!

The sentiment is also The Greetery.

I had the hardest time photographing this card! I’m STILL trying to find the best way to capture cards that don’t have a white base and sometimes it seems impossible for me…
