Technique – Stamping

Makes my heart sing

Hi there!

I’ve been trying to use the Purr-fect Friends stamp set from My Favorite Things for quite a while – and finally did today. I used images from the set together with two stencils by My Favorite Things to create this card (The sky/cloud inking on the window background is soft and so didn’t really show up in my photos unfortunately!).

Anyway, I’m entering today’s card into two challenges – My Favourite Things Sketch challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge (Furry Friends).

Thanks for stopping by!

Be Loud!

Happy Saturday!

The theme for this week’s Casology challenge is ‘Loud’ and I thought these wonderful stamps from Indigo Blu would be perfect.

I stamped the image and then masked it, before smooshing Distress Oxide Ink onto the background.

I think the image looks like it is raised off the background – it isn’t! The whole panel was mounted on funky foam before I stuck it onto a larger base card.

Thanks for looking!

Geometric encouragement card

Hi there!

The theme for this week’s Less is More challenge is ‘geometric’ – and this card is nothing like I had originally planned. In fact I was getting some hexagon dies out when I spotted this lovely image on a Paperartsy stamp set and I knew I had to use it. It kind of reminds me of an odd chemical compound!

I decided to turn this into a male encouragement card and so added a sentiment from The Ton Stamps – loving their stamps!

You are loved

Hi everyone!

I’m loving the new Mama Elephant release, aren’t you? The little kitties are so cute and such fun to colour.

For this card I used the ‘petaled pink’ colour palette from the Seven Hills Crafts monthly challenge. I really struggled when I tried to match up some purple cardstock to use as a base, but then I decided to create my own. Hope you can see the shimmer from the Twinkling H2O’s!

All stamps are by Mama Elephant.

Thanks for stopping by!
