Happy Thoughts Owl

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Hues challenge! The colour palette this time is yellow and kraft.

I actually remembered this challenge deadline on Saturday afternoon and adapted what I was using for my entry – the card I was working on is below. I used the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero November 2020 kit which crossed the Atlantic so fast and arrived yesterday! I was so excited to get it so quickly! Thank you Hero Arts! Anyway, the background die is by Poppystamps and I used a Mama Elephant sentiment.

For my original card using this kit, I added a Hero Arts sentiment from a super sentiment stamp set that I really must use more often – I had forgotten how versatile this set is!

Day 14 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 14 was Lawn Fawn. I love Lawn Fawn stamps, but tend to admire them from afar as I’m not really a cutesy crafter. I do have a few sweet critter sets though! I loved Mindy’s tags and used them for my inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!

Day 13 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 13 was Paper Sweeties. When I saw the tag made by Karen I thought I could adapt it using some of my Hero Arts supplies! I replaced the truck with the fun retro car from the October 2019 My Monthly Hero kit! And can you believe I stamped and cut out all those individual snowballs?! Took me quite a while as it was a bit fiddly! I covered them in Wink of Stella, but sadly you can’t see the shimmer in this photo!

Day 9 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 9 was Pink & Main – they have some super cute stamps but sadly this is another brand which is under represented in my festive supplies!

The inspiration tags were wonderful and Lindsey L’s striking tag really caught my eye. As soon as I saw that blinged-out edging, I knew I had to give it a go! Let me tell you, it was VERY fiddly, but I’m glad I spent the time on this, I just love how sparkly it is!

The llama stamp is by Neat & Tangled and I used another Mama Elephant sentiment.

Day 8 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event again this year.

The sponsor for Day 8 was Avery Elle. I love Avery Elle stamps and dies and as soon as I saw that Maria Peters had used the Snow Globe set, I knew I had to ink my set up again!!

I decided to use a different colour palette for the night sky – I’ve been seeing the picked raspberry/seedless preserves combo a lot on instagram this year and I really love that vibrant colour!

The sentiment is by Mama Elephant and carefully hides a poorly stamped sentiment on the base of the globe!

Thanks for stopping by!
