Technique – inlaid die-cutting

Featuring inlaid die-cutting

Bright Hearts

Happy Saturday!

I’m really enjoying Online Card Classes’ ‘Shimmer and Sparkle’ class and today I’ve been playing with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse. I made a lot of different backgrounds by sponging the mousse onto cardstock. I also blended a few colours to make my own bespoke mousse!

For today’s card. I cut a Simon Says Stamp die from the various background panels and inserted the coloured hearts into the die cut outline that I’d cut from some black glitzy paper. I flicked some watered-down embellishment mousse onto the card base and added a sentiment from Hero Arts.

I’m entering this into the current AAA Cards challenge (bright and beautiful) and also the SSS Flickr challenge (favourite technique – inlaid die cutting!).

Glitter, glitter everywhere!

Hi everyone!

I’m loving the latest class from Online Card Classes – Sparkle and Shine! The first class was all about glitter and I chose to create a card using the glitter die cut inlay technique from Jennifer Mcguire.

I chose a large Memory Box die and added smaller dies from Savvy Stamps and Poppystamps before applying TONS of glitter!

I’m entering this into the current Merry Monday Challenge (non-black silhouette).

With love

Hi there!

I love this week’s challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches and so here is my entry using a die from Memory Box, papers by my Mind’s Eye and a sentiment from Clearly Besotted.

The colour scheme is the current Less is More challenge, so I’m also entering this card into that challenge!

Oh Happy Day!

Hi everyone! I love the inspiration photo for the current Time Out Challenge and here is my take!

I used distress ink to create a blended ink background and then applied lots of distress mica spray for shimmer! I then used this and some Bazzill bling cardstock to do inlaid die-cutting with a fabulous butterfly die from Spellbinders.

I added a sentiment stamp from Simon Says Stamp and so I’m also entering this into the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge – sparkle and shine.

Row of Presents

Hello!

The theme for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is ‘splash it on’ and here is my entry!

I sprinkled water onto an ink-blended background before cutting it with the Simon Says Stamp presents die. I also did a little controlled ink smooshing on the base card before adding my die cut image.

I’m also entering this into the current CAS Mix It Up challenge (inlaid die-cutting, stamping, ink blending and smooshing).

All dies and stamps are by Simon Says Stamp.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone!

Here’s another one of my Easter cards which I made using dies from Simon Says Stamp, My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn and lots of glitter paper.

As I used the colour palette from this week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, I’m entering this card into that challenge, together with the current SSS Flickr challenge (‘sparkle and shine’).
