Technique – dry embossing

Featuring dry embossing

Peaceful pine

Hello Everyone!

Back in July, I made the decision to make cards to send out this Christmas – and Today Me is very happy that I did that because now I can just craft for fun in December! Of course I seem to be making Christmas cards for all the challenges that I’m now entering, but that’s ok because there’s no pressure!

Today’s card is my entry in this week’s Color Throwdown challenge which has a combo of green, red and cream. Classic Christmas colours!

I used the beautiful Delicate Pine Frame die set by Memory Box, coloured with distress inks. The background was made using the Spellbinders July 2024 Club 3D embossing folder called Branches and Berries.

The sentiment is by Mama Elephant.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 23

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The challenge for Day 23 is another sketch and I had so much fun with this one!

The large joy bauble is a Hero Arts bargain which I backed with some amazing Tonic Studios speciality paper.

The smaller baubles were created with The Greetery’s Curio Attic Ornaments die set and coloured with distress ink.

The sentiment is by My Favorite Things and the background folder is by Spellbinders.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 22

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

Day 22’s challenge is another colour combo – midnight blue, pale lavender and silver. One of my favourite combos!

I decided that Spellbinders’ flowery tree die set which was their July 2023  Small Die of the Month kit would be absolutely perfect. I’ve loved this set since the moment I saw it and even created my own take of it for Christmas in July that year.

The background is also by Spellbinders.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 21

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The theme of Day 21’s challenge is ‘first snowflake’.

Perfect excuse for me to pull out the Birch Press Design Crochet Snowflake stamp set! This time I paired gold mirror card and whit glitter card plus fabulous sparkly bling that I have had forever!

The background is a Spellbinders embossing folder and the sentiment is by Sizzix.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 19

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The theme of Day 19’s challenge is ‘wrapped in wonder’.

Lots of ideas for this one but I really wanted to use my new Nellie Snellen Presents embossing folder and stencil – so I did! I used new Pinkfresh inks and I have to confess that I was a little disappointed with the pink which turned out MUCH brighter than I would usually choose.

The silver parcels are cut from the Memory Box Pretty Presents die set and the sentiment is an older set by Poppystamps.

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 18

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

The challenge for Day 18 is another sketch.

I bought this large Simon Says Stamp bauble die back at my first Create in 2015. It was a low key event compared to how it is nowadays but I absolutely LOVED it!

Anyway, I used it with some more Tonic Ombre glitter card and pulled out my old Darice and Sizzix 2D embossing folders.

Thanks for stopping by!
