Happy Heart Day

Hello again everyone!

I wanted to share another card celebrating today! This one is my Day 13 Colouring for the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge and I used one of my older Magenta wood-mounted stamps, with one of my newest sentiment stamps (by Reverse Confetti).

I kept it simple so that the focus would be on that sweet cat and this was one of my quickest makes of the month so far!

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hello everyone!

Happy Valentine’s Day! As you know, I have been using my wood-mounted stamps throughout February and I hope to have created at least 28 cards using my wood-mounted stamps by the end of the month. But that doesn’t mean I’ve completely stopped playing with my new stamps! I bought this fabulous Avery Elle peacock just before Christmas. Perfect for today!

I coloured it using my Twinkling H2Os and also added a few die cut hearts which I’d coloured with the same paint.

I’m entering this in the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, plus the current Color Throwdown Challenge (black, dark pink and grey).

Don’t Break it!

Hello everyone!

For Day 12 of the Daily Marker 30 Challenge, I used one of my oldest stamps (‘Don’t Break it!’ by Penny Black) plus my newest purchase (the Avery Elle background die). I toyed with adding a sentiment but decided to leave it at the moment, I may add one when I send it!

Purple and Green should never be seen…

Hello everyone!

Well I’m not sure about the title of my post… I recall hearing it as a saying from somewhere but I disagree with it – as would some British sporting institutions!!

Anyway, onto today’s card! I’m playing along with the current Case This Sketch challenge and used an old wood mounted stamp by a company called Inca Rubber Stamps. I’ve googled them, but it looks like they don’t exist any more.

I embossed the heart images and then coloured them to match the shades in my Basic Grey background paper.

To finish off the card I added a sentiment from Savvy Stamps.

Flower Tree

Hello everyone!

I’ve been playing with another older wood-mounted stamp from Hero Arts this morning! This one is called Flower Tree and is from 2009! I remember buying it from one of my local stamp stores! That was when I had 4 stamp stores within a 40 minute drive…. only one remains today, so sad

Anyway I used the colours from this week’s Color Throwdown challenge (red, orange and yellow). I was quite nervous about adding the splatters, but it worked out ok!! The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

Owls galore!

Hello everyone!

Hope you’re having a great weekend! I had one of those days today. You know when little tasks take forever and before you know it the whole day has just disappeared!

I did manage to get into the craft room for Day 9 colouring for the Daily Marker 30 Day challenge and for my take on this week’s fun sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I used some of my MANY MANY owl stamps! All of these are from my wood mounted collection and are by Hero Arts. I finished off my card with a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.
