Fun Halloween Spirit

Hi Everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the current sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches (which I rotated) as well as the current Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge where the theme is ‘spooky’.

I fell for this little ghost from Picket Fence Studios when it was released last year, but I couldn’t find it in an UK stores. When I saw it in the Dies to Die For shop a few weeks ago, I had to snap it up, even though I try to ration myself when it comes to buying Halloween supplies!

I created a fun blended background using distress oxide inks and then embossed a sentiment from My Favorite Things. I coloured and fussy cut the ghost and then added a generous layer of Pixie Dust over him! Look at that shimmer!

Autumn handful

Hi Everyone!

Today I’m playing along this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge

I was originally going to create a cluster of little Christmas trees but I suddenly thought of the gorgeous elements in the Pretty Pink Posh Autumn Wreath set. I’ve used the wreath quite a few times, but those little elements are barely used! So I chose a few, embossed them in gold and coloured them using my Twinkling H2Os.

I smooshed some distress ink onto a card base and added a few paint splatters. I adhered the Hero Arts sentiment and then arranged my autumn elements!

Such a fun card to create!

Warm hugs and yellow blossoms

Hi Everyone!

Here I am with my last post of today. This time I’m playing along with the current sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.

I decided to use the beautiful Mama Elephant Pine and Posy set again. I coloured the images with my Twinkling H2Os and then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I lightly splattered gold paint across the background before adhering the images and stamping a Mama Elephant sentiment to complete my card.

Faux Metal Etching

Hi Everyone!

I’ve been itching to play with the faux metal etching technique that Jennifer McGuire demonstrated a few weeks ago and today was the day! I used some silver matte mirror card and the Simon Says Stamp Brushed Branches background stamp. What a fun technique – but so very difficult to get a decent photo.

I used the sketch from the current Inspire Create Challenges and added a die cut sentiment and leaves (also by Simon Says Stamp).

I’m also entering this into the current Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge where the theme is Autumn.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Cosmos

Hello friends!

Happy World Cardmaking day!

I’ve been battling a migraine so couldn’t make much today, although I did create this card, using the beautiful Cosmos Stem die from Simon Says Stamp.

I coloured the die cuts with my Twinkling H2Os following the fabulous palette from the Color Throwdown Challenge this week – orange. lavender, purple and green.

I added it to a background that I’d dry embossed using a Taylored Expressions folder and adhered a SSS die cut to complete my card.

Merry Everything, Mama Elephant!

Hello friends!

Did you all see the amazing Mama Elephant release a few weeks ago? So many beautiful sets. I fell in love with the Pine and Posy set and snapped it up as soon as I could!

I’ve been wanting to ink it up ever since and know exactly what I wanted to try when I saw the beautiful colour palette from the Color Throwdown Challenge this week – cobalt blue, aqua, grey and black.

I coloured the image with my Twinkling H2Os and added a sentiment stamp and die, also by Mama Elephant.

Thanks for stopping by!
