Simply Graphic

You are loved – a lot

Hi everyone!

There’s such a cute sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week. My card was really quick to make – in fact it took me much longer to find a heart die that was broadly similar in shape to the Simply Graphic leafy heart die that I wanted to use.

I ended up using a Memory Box heart die to cut some red cardstock and then adhered the leafy heart cut from gold glitter paper. The sentiment is by My Favorite Things.

Simply thanks

Happy Saturday everyone!

I treated myself to an order from Simply Graphic on New Year’s Eve and it arrived this morning! Super fast shipping from France!

I just had to use my new dies today and here’s one of the cards I made! I used the colour combo from this week’s Colour Throwdown challenge (grey, ivory and black) and added a sentiment die from Mama Elephant.

I’m also entering this into the current Time Out challenge (thankful).

Sparkly Polar Bear

Hello Everyone!

After posting a ton of festive cards with trees, I’ve been focussing on using my other supplies!

Today I chose this fabulous polar bear die from Simply Graphic and did some inlaid die cutting with glitter paper.

I used an Echo Park stencil to create the background and then added a vellum die cut to ensure the bear stood out against the starry sky.

To finish off the card, I added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

I’m going to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge (winter/Christmas).

A Trio of Trees

Happy Sunday everyone!

It’s time for a new challenge over at AAA Cards. This fortnight’s theme is Christmas and Uniko is our sponsor.

I’ve been making Christmas cards for a while now, but with a heavy frost over the past couple of nights, it’s definitely feeling more wintery here – perfect for staying in and creating! For my card I used a gorgeous scribble tree die by Simply Graphic which I cut from three different colours of glitter paper. I stuck these to my base card and then added a Penny Black sentiment – I quite like the contrast between the modern tree and more traditional font of the sentiment… what do you think?

My teammates have shared some gorgeous CAS cards on the AAA Cards blog and we are also joined by Guest Designer Cathy from Cathy’s Card Spot. She has some amazing creations on her blog, so please drop by her site!

Thanks for stopping by – I do hope you play along with us!

Time to Sparkle

Happy Saturday!

There is a gorgeous colour combo over at the Color Throwdown challenge this week. In fact I have made quite a few cards with it! Anyway, this is the one that I decided to enter for the challenge. I used some new-to-me dies from Simply Graphic together with a stamp from Poppystamps.

As I was assembling the card, I felt it needed something a little extra to ground the image and so I stencilled a bit of Cosmic Shimmer glitter paste to the background. Love how this sparkles without detracting too much from those gorgeous dies!

I’m also entering this card into the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

Butterfly Friend

I’ve found a great new-to-me challenge over at the Always Playing with Paper blog.

Challenge Number 93 provided a few cue words for inspiration – we can choose to follow as many or as few as we like!

The cue words are: simple, butterfly, monochromatic, circle and friendship.

I chose all of them apart from monochromatic and used dies from Simons Says Stamp and Simply Graphic together with a stamp from Hero Arts for my entry.

Thanks for stopping by!
