I used a Savvy Stamps die plus distress oxide and Altenew inks. The coloured strips were created using an Avery Elle frame die set.

All white thank you

Hi friends!

I am back with my entry into the current CAS on Friday challenge which has the theme of white on white.

I love white on white but I rarely create all white cards unless it’s for a challenge. I must rectify that! Anyway, after a LOT of dithering and die cutting, I finally used one of my favourite dies from Simply Graphic – the die étamines which was the die of the month in April 2018 .

I die cut a circle in my base card and a white panel. After adhering some acetate over the circle on my base card, I stuck on the white panel using some foam tape before adhering the die cut image. I then die cut a Savvy Stamps sentiment three times before sticking them all together and on to my card.

Birthday leaves

Happy Saturday friends!

Today, I’ve been tying to play along with the sketch challenge over at the CAS Colours and Sketches blog. I say trying because I couldn’t bring myself to put a sentiment over every single circle image I created! In the end I resorted to using an older Circle Leaves die from Simon Says Stamp that I have used a lot, but even then, I had to tweak the positioning of the sentiment!

Anyway, the colours for this week Color Throwdown Challenge are beautiful (mauve, green and cream) so I made a couple of distress oxide panels (milled lavender and bundled sage) which I then used for my die cut image. Once I had adhered the circle die to my cream base card, I added a Savvy Stamps sentiment, which I had originally cut in white. But something didn’t seem quite right so I changed to grey cardstock which I felt worked much better! Finally I added a few pearls to complete my card.

I’m also entering this into the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge where the theme is ‘anything goes’.

Happy Love Day 2019

Sorry for the post overload friends – I have just been inspired to create Valentine’s cards this year!

Anyway, what would you do if you had a layover in Seattle? Head downtown or go to Impress Cards and Crafts? Yep, you’ve guessed it! When I had a layover at SeaTac last year, I hopped on a bus and took the short trip to Tukwila and spent a lovely couple of hours in Impress’s fabulous store there! So many craft goodies there! I bought this sweet heart die and Savvy Stamps sentiment stamp there! Making this CAS card today bought back a lot of happy memories from my little trip there!

Purple and Green should never be seen…

Hello everyone!

Well I’m not sure about the title of my post… I recall hearing it as a saying from somewhere but I disagree with it – as would some British sporting institutions!!

Anyway, onto today’s card! I’m playing along with the current Case This Sketch challenge and used an old wood mounted stamp by a company called Inca Rubber Stamps. I’ve googled them, but it looks like they don’t exist any more.

I embossed the heart images and then coloured them to match the shades in my Basic Grey background paper.

To finish off the card I added a sentiment from Savvy Stamps.

O Christmas Tree

Hello everyone!

I seriously cannot believe how fast 2018 has flown by, can you? All my favourite challenges are starting to take their festive breaks, including the Color Throwdown challenge. The palette for their last challenge of the year is a classic Christmas combo – green, red, white and kraft.

I used a fabulous tree die from Simply Graphic and cut it several times in kraft and once in green glitter card and adhered all the die cuts to the kraft card base.
