Deer Friend collage

Hi there!

I have a few cards to share today before the challenge closes. First up, I’m playing along with the sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I knew I wanted to use the fabulous new Penny Black Grazing Fawn die (51-672) as my focal point again and I also wanted to stay true to my preferred CAS style. This sketch had lots of layers so I decided to create an ink-blended/stencilled base layer with the Penny Black Leaf Frolic Stencil (25-019) and added a subtle piece of patterned paper on top of that. The sentiment is from the Hello Deer mini stamp set (30-766) (partially stamped).

Much Love to you

Hello again everyone!

Next up today is my entry into a new-to-me challenge, Sunday Stamps.

I used stamps and dies by Penny Black – the stamped images are from the fabulous new Garden Fresh stamp set (30-816) – I used the coordinating dies (51-703) to cut them out. There isn’t a coordinating die for the mason jar image, but it’s super easy to fussy cut. I coloured the images using my Twinkling H2O paints.

For the background panel, I cut the Geometric Circles die (51-644) twice and adhered sections together to create a longer die cut. I hid the join behind the little bench from the Autumn Decor die set (51-653). In fact, I actually reduced the width of the bench by trimming out a middle section – the join is hidden behind the mason jar image!

Finally I added a sentiment from the Ever Thanks set (30-813).

Hello grazing deer

Hi there!

I just discovered the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge and was totally inspired by this week’s sketch!

I knew I wanted to use the fabulous new Penny Black Grazing Fawn die (51-672) as my focal point so I did tinker with the sketch a bit… The circle frame dies are from Penny Black’s Framed die set (51-622) and I also added a sentiment from the Hello Deer mini stamp set (30-766).

I coloured the fawn image with distress inks and used a detail blending tool to get that texture on the trees!

Lots of love and greenery

Happy  Friyay everyone!

I’m playing along with the colour challenge at the CAS on Friday challenge blog today. The challenge this time is one colour – green.

For my take, I used products from Penny Black’s Delight collection and lots of regular distress ink. I coloured the three dies cuts from the Garden Greens (51-652) set using differnt shades of green and then adhered them to my card base before adding a jug from the coordinating Garden Fresh die set (51-703). Finally I stamped a sentiment from the Delectable stamp set (30-810).

Cherry blossom smiles

Hi everyone!

Today I’m playing along a new-to me challenge,  Hand Stamped Sentiments using products by Penny Black.

I cut an ink-blended panel using a die from the dainty dashes stackers set (51-636) and then coloured a couple of the Cherry Blossom die cut images (51-419) using my Twinkling H2)s and prismacolor pencils.

Finally I added a sentiment from the Thinking of You clear stamp set (30-825).

Companions

Hi everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the current  Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I decided to use stamps from the new Penny Black Delight release today. When I saw the sketch, I immediately thought of the beautiful Companions cling stamp (40-769) which I thought would fit perfectly on the right hand side of the card against an ink-blended background. I stamped the image in Antique Linen distress ink and coloured it with my Twinkling H2Os. I couldn’t get the shimmer to show up in my photos sadly. After colouring, I masked off the image and created an ink-blended background, following the sketch. I think re-stamped the image to emphasise the lines (thank goodness for my MISTI!).

Finally I added a sentiment from the Thinking of You clear stamp set (30-825) and a few sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!
