My Favorite Things

Makes my heart sing

Hi there!

I’ve been trying to use the Purr-fect Friends stamp set from My Favorite Things for quite a while – and finally did today. I used images from the set together with two stencils by My Favorite Things to create this card (The sky/cloud inking on the window background is soft and so didn’t really show up in my photos unfortunately!).

Anyway, I’m entering today’s card into two challenges – My Favourite Things Sketch challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge (Furry Friends).

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer flowers

Hi everyone!

It’s an overcast day here today (typical bank holiday weather really) so I decided to make a bright summery card!

I used stamps from Simon Says Stamp, plus a stencil from My Favorite Things and a gorgeous embossing folder from Spellbinders!

I’m entering this into three challenges: Freshly Made Sketches, Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge and Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday.

Have a great day!

Love and Thanks

Hello there!

I decided to try out the plastic bag watercolour technique that Kristina Werner taught us at Simon Says Create last month. So much fun… I may have gone overboard with the sequins?!! The stamps and dies are by My Favorite Things and I’m entering this into the current MFT sketch challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers

Hi Everyone!

I’m back in my craft room after being away and it feels so good!

The theme for this week’s Less is More challenge is ‘shadow’ so I used a shadow/stencilling technique that Shari Carroll shared at Simon Says Create in 2015.

I used SSS fog card as my base and applied SSS Smoke ink over a Tim Holtz stencil and then moved it slightly before applying Lawn Fawn yeti ink. I used SSS banner dies to cut the panel and cut a vellum banner using the same die set, cutting it twice to remove the fishtail portion of the banner.

I cut the MFT Cheers die and three times – once with DCWV glitzy paper (isn’t it fabulous?!) and twice with white cardstock and then stuck them together before adding it to my card. I’m also entering this into the current SSS Flickr challenge –‘anything goes’.

Thanks for stopping by!
