Day 24 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2021

Hi everyone!

As Tracey McNeely isn’t running her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year, I have created my own event using 25 days from Tracey’s event posts over the last decade, as I explained in this post.

Day 24’s inspiration is Day 4, 2020. Newton’s Nook Day! Here’s what I created in 2020.

I wanted to do ‘something different’ for this tag as it felt like I’d stamped and coloured quite a few images during the tag challenge! So I chose Andrea’s bold tag as my inspiration. I used a Newton’s Nook stencil and some silver luna paste. Very happy with how that turned out! Embellishing the tag was much more challenging! First of all I added some pine springs but they didn’t look right… In the end, I used an older Hero Arts wood-mounted stamp embossed in teal glitter powder plus a glittery Simon Says Stamp die cut!

Au revoir, AAA Cards!

Hi there!

It’s time for another challenge at AAA Cards! But before I talk about my card, I wanted to let you know that this is my last challenge for AAA Cards. I was so delighted to be selected to join the DT back in May 2017 and I’m very grateful to Jane and the lovely team who made me feel so welcome. However, after 4.5 fun years, I felt it was time to step down. It has truly been an honour to be part of this talented team. All the very best to Maaike and the DT – I’m looking forward to seeing all your amazing inspiration next year!

Back to the last challenge of 2021, which runs for four weeks! This time we’d like you to create a CAS Christmas card with the option of using a slimline card base.

I used a slimline card for my last DT post and wanted to do something different this time, so I chose a standard UK cardbase. I used the gorgeous Santa’s Snowy Hills die from Picket Fence Studios together with a few trees from a Marianne’s Designs set. My inspiration for this card came from the very talented Valerie who created this stunning card.

The sentiment is by Mama Elephant.

My team mates have come up with some beautiful cards which are on the AAA Cards challenge blog. We are also joined by a previous challenge winner, Jane D, who has some really cute inspiration on her blog!

Hope you can play along with us!

Day 6 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2021

Hi everyone!

As Tracey McNeely isn’t running her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year, I have created my own event using 25 days from Tracey’s event posts over the last decade, as I explained in this post.

Day 6’s inspiration is Day 7, 2011.

I loved that Tracey used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for this tag – I have that very same folder so I HAD to use that on my tag base! I paired it with a sweet wood-mounted stamp by Hero Arts.

Day 3 – 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2021

Hi everyone!

As Tracey McNeely isn’t running her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event this year, I have created my own event using 25 days from Tracey’s event posts over the last decade, as I explained in this post.

Day 3’s inspiration is Day 5, 2015.

For my tag, I decided to use Archana’s inspiration. The stamps I used are by Hero Arts and Penny Black. The pine branches are by Pretty Pink Posh.

Snowflake medallion bauble

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along with this week’s Color Throwdown challenge which has a fabulous combo of white, gold and blue.

Last weekend, I rediscovered eBay and managed to snag a few great deals! I had been wanting the Hero Arts Snowflake Medallion die since I saw it last year and so I was very pleased to finally get hold of it! I had to use it straight away with this card – I cut some of my brand new Simon Says Stamp white glitter card, although it’s pretty difficult to photograph the shimmer. Anyway, I added it to a circle that I’d covered with Prize Ribbon/Chipped Sapphire distress oxide and added a glittery gold chain using a die from teh Hero Arts Joy Ornament. Finally I added a sentiment from Hunkydory/Moonstone.
