Christmas in July 2025 – Day 19

Hi there

It’s Day 19 of LucieG’s Christmas in July 2025 and I have a another twofer for you today.

I love the large shaped card die sets that I have by Bibi Cameron/Spellbinders and have been hoping for a Christmas tree set at some point. Today, I decided that I would create my own shaped tree card with an older Concord & 9th tree die that I picked up in a sale recently.

I used a couple of shades of green ink to create backgrounds that I then die cut. I partially cut a couple of card bases to create a shaped card base and adhered the die cut trees on top, hiding the section of the folded card that was not die cut.

For the ornament tree, I used dies by Concorde & 9th and Memory Box. The glittery foliage card uses dies by Crealies, Spellbinders and Simply Graphic.

I am so pleased that both these cards stand nicely on the little trunks!

Thanks for stopping by!

30 Day Christmas Card Challenge 2024 – Day 27

Hi everyone!

I’m playing along with Martin’s 30 Day Christmas Card Challenge this month.

Day 27’s challenge is THE classic Christmas colour combo – gold, pine green and holly red.

For my card, I used Kristina Werner’s Merry Trees die set and LOTS of different papers from my patterned paper mountain.

The sentiment is by Crealies.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July 2021 – Day 7

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Day 7 of Christmas in July 2021! Today I’m playing along with the CAS Christmas Card Challenge! The challenge theme is poinsettia so I thought it was the perfect time to use my brand new Sizzix Poinsettia Impresslits embossing folder.

I originally bought it to try the embossing powder/distress crayon technique that Tim Holtz demonstrated a year or so ago, but so far I have failed miserably! I think my embossing dauber is completely clogged as I can’t get decent coverage with it. I will keep trying.

So in the meantime, I coloured the poinsettia with my beloved Twinkling H2O paints. I stencilled some glitter paste to my card base and then added an Elizabeth Crafts Designs oval die cut before adhering the flower.

The die cut sentiment is by Crealies – I love that clean font!

Thanks for stopping by!
