Blue and Tan Floating butterflies

Hi there!

Today is the day of butterflies I think! First up is a card that I made earlier in the week but I ran out of time to blog! Fortunately, I remembered it before the Color Hues challenge deadline!

I started by creating an inky panel using Prize Ribbon distress ink. I then cut it using Memory Box’s Floating Butterflies Background die. I adhered the Floating Butterflies outline die on top. Then I smooched some Brushed Corduroy distress ink onto my card base and stencilled some moonstone Nuvo glimmer paste on top. When it was dry, I adhered the butterflies and added some stickles to them. Finally I stamped a Mama Elephant sentiment to complete my card.

To the Side

Hello again everyone!

I’m back again with the card I made for the sketch challenge hosted by Sunday Stamps.

Last time, the sketch challenge was called ‘in the middle’; this time it’s called ‘to the side’ – and it’s a fun sketch! As soon as I saw it I thought of my new Memory Box Fresh Cut Stems dies…. I’m not sure why I didn’t get round to creating this card until the very last evening before the challenge closed!

Anyway, I coloured the die cuts with my Twinkling H2O paints and adhered it to an ink-blended section of my card base. The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted.

Meadow Rue

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along with colour challenge at The Paper Players.

Unfortunately, I haven’t had much crafty time this week so I ended up putting this card together just before the challenge deadline! Just made it! Phew!

I used a beautiful older die called Meadow Rue by Simon Says Stamp which I coloured with Distress Oxides. I adhered it to a panel embossed with a Taylored Expressions embossing folder and added a sentiment by Memory Box.

Daisy Bunches

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m using Penny Black products to play along in the Just Us Girls challenge which has a theme of flowers.

To start with, I used the Slimline Zig Zag die set (51-733) to create a white frame which I adhered to my card base that I’d covered with some old patterned paper.

I then used the fabulous Daisy Delight die (51-676) to cut 15 daisies which I coloured using my Twinkling H2Os. I then adhered them to my card base , popping out of each of the three die cut windows.

To complete my card, I added a sentiment from the Bunches of Love set (30-890).

Pastel birthday wishes

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the ‘Can You Handle the Pressure‘ challenge where the twist is pastels.

I’ve been wanting to use my beautiful Cherry Blossom Darice folder again this spring but haven’t got around to it – until now! I created an inky panel using Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink and embossed it. I added some stickles into the centre of the flowers.

I added a sprig from Spellbinders’ Be Bold Blooms die set and a Pretty Pink Posh sentiment to complete my card.

Be Bold Blooms Color Dare

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the six pack colour challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare. I LOVE how this challenge asks you to use one of the colours for the card base – I’m really enjoying making cards with different colour backgrounds right now!

I spent ages matching Bazzill card stock to the challenge colours on my ipad. And then, of course they look so different in the photo. Especially the rosemary and toffee colours – I’m quite disappointed about that.

Anyway, all dies are from Spellbinders’ Be Bold Blooms die set and I added an Impress Cards & Crafts sentiment.
