Heart die cut collage

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown which has a fabulous palette of red, brown, pink and green! It’s the month of love and I thought these colours would be perfect for a little love card. I pulled out some dies kindly sent to me by Penny Black and got crafty!

I coloured the largest heart from the Heart Balloons die set using Spun Sugar distress oxide ink (51-493). Next up was the Ardor stem (51-097) coloured with Lumberjack Plaid and Gathered Twig and some pencil for extra detail. Finally I cut and coloured the delicate Airy stem (51-423) with Peeled Paint and a splash of Stickles.

After arranging the die cuts, I stamped a sentiment from the Love Big set (30-898) and few brown pearls.

Warmest Snowdrop Wishes

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge using products by Penny Black.

Following the sketch, I used a couple distress inks to create a blended strip on the left of my card base. I then stamped and fussy cut the beautiful snowdrop vase image from the Wintry Whites mini set (30-634). I absolutely adore this image and as my snowdrops well and truly popped this week, I knew I had to use it again this weekend. You can see the cards I’ve made before here and here.

After colouring the image with my Twinkling H2O paints, I adhered it to my blended panel using sticky fixers for a bit of dimension. To complete my card, I added a sentiment from the Nature’s Rubies mini set (30-937) and a few sequins.

Colourful crocus card

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I’m playing along the Color Throwdown which has a fabulous palette of mustard, pink and green! Perfect for a flowery card.

After playing around with daisies, I landed on The Greetery’s crocus die set which I coloured with regular distress inks. I cut a circle from a panel using a die by Penny Black adhered it to a card base that I’d inked up. To complete my card I added a Pretty Pink Posh sentiment and a few Memory Box butterflies.

All you need is… smiles and hugs

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I’m playing along with some old and newer products from Penny Black. I started by heat embossing the All you need…. cling stamp (40-092) and blending Speckled Egg and Stormy Sky distress ink over it. I then cut the heart frame using a die from the Lovely Border die set (51-484). I added a butterfly from the Flourish and Butterflies set (51-198) and little birds from the Nestlings set (51-755)*. The sentiment is from the Banner sentiments (30-423)*.

Snowflake Josefina Butterfly

Hello everyone!

Today I’m playing along in the Poppystamps challenge where the theme is ‘let it snow’.  Can you believe I started working on this card at the beginning of January and only just got round to assembling it! This month has flown by!

I took a slightly different approach to my card and used the Snowflake Screen with the Josefina Butterfly dies to create a snowflake butterfly! I used an old inky panel for the snowflakes and cut the butterfly from vellum before adhering and then trimming the snowflake screen to size. The butterfly body is from Birch Press Design’s Butterfly Basics set.

I wanted to use this fabulous Memory Box embossing folder for my card base but felt that the butterfly needed a little something to ground it so added some silvery thread and a few sequins. The sentiment is by Memory Box.
