Large Happy Easter Egg

Hi there!

It’s been a long time since I played along with a Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge but I was particularly inspired this weekend AND I had time to create so I was able to enter more challenges than usual!

The challenge theme  is Spring and/or Easter – I opted for the latter and made a quick CAS card using a very old Memory Box die, Speckled Egg distress ink and a Spellbinders embossing folder.

I think this would make the perfect Easter card for my dad!

Backyard Floral Egg

Hi there!

Today I’m playing along with the Outside the Box challenge where the theme is floral favourites!

I decided to play with my newest Memory Box die again – the Backyard Floral. I coloured it with distress inks and adhered it to an egg die cut. The embossing folder and sentiment are also by Memory Box.

Die cuts only – delicate floral buds

Hi there!

It’s been a long time since I played along with a Just Add Ink challenge and now that work is calming down, I have more time for crafting and decided to play along this week.

The challenge theme is no stamping so I pulled out my new  Delicate Floral Buds die set by Birch Press Design and got busy with my Gemini Junior!

The sentiment is by Simply Graphic and the embossing folder is by Spellbinders.

Bunny Kisses

Happy Sunday everyone!

It’s been a while since I played along with the Can You Handle the Pressure challenge, but as I was able to craft a lot this weekend, I decided to join in with the current challenge which has the optional twist of Easter

I’ve been excited to play with the cute Bunny Kisses die set by The Greetery and today was the day! I coloured the images with distress ink and added a little mini pompom to the bunny. I embossed some light pink cardstock with a Spellbinders embossing folder and assembled my little scene on a panel cut from an older My Favorite Things Die-Namics set. The grass is cut with a Lawn Fawn die.

The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted.

Die cuts only – tulips

Hi again everyone!

Next up today is my entry for the Poppystamps challenge where the theme is ‘die cuts only’.

I knew I wanted to use my newest Poppystamps die set – the Layered Tulip die set so started by cutting some old inky panels with the dies while I thought about the rest of the card. I wondered if I could use an embossed background but given the theme I played it safe with the leafy frame from the Fern and Daisy Pop up Easel set. I added some foliage from a Memory Box flower set.

Then I spent a little while looking at all my sentiment dies – I was rather surprised that I don’t have many generic sentiments by Poppystamps, but fortunately this Hello worked well!

Blue, rust and brown bouquet

Happy Saturday  everyone!

Today I’m playing along with the Color Throwdown which has a fabulous combo of blue, rust and brown. It’s all change at my favourite colour challenge this week as the team welcome the talented Kelly! The team is always pretty stable but somehow I missed the farewell to Barbara, I loved her amazing takes on the colours. Many congrats Kelly on joining the amazing DT!

Last week I received and played with the amazing Spring Meadow stencil set by The Greetery. I enjoyed playing with it so much, I was determined to play with it again, although I surprised myself by reaching for it again so soon! I thought it might work well with this combo? What do you think? I used three shades of blue and added rust/brown to the flower centres, although I did use black for the darkest flowers.

The background embossing folder is by Spellbinders and the sentiment is by Clearly Besotted.

Thanks for stopping by!
